Really really disagree with this so strongly and not because of who it is, I'd be the same if it was Starmer or previously Corbyn. Whatever we do or don't think of them, politics has no place in football.

Especially at a time when we're trying to eradicate divisiveness based on race, religion, gender or sexual preference, adding politics to the mix brings a whole new level of hatred and is unnecessary and unacceptable. Support your team.
Give over you Wally.😊

You're only saying that because you agree with them. Take a step back, as I've said in my edit, it's divisive. You'd agree I'd hope if it was on race or religion etc and wouldn't dismiss it as ok down the pub. It gas jo place in football.

I do agree with them but that's not the point.

If Jurgen Klopp came out and said Boris Johnson is a twat then whilst I would agree with him I would agree with you that it's not on for someone like him to say that

You can't compare it to race etc. Of course singing about race is out of order, singing about someone being a twat (who chooses to be a twat) is totally different

What about when fans sing songs about the ref being a wanker, or someone being fat, is that divisive?

The ref is part of the game. Boris has nothing to do with it. Why cause divisiveness among your own fans? I wasn't the only one in the country who voted for him so a lot of people would be feeling alienated. It has nothing to to with the game. Is it okay to sing anti Muslim songs on the terraces after a terror attack? No it isn't and neither is this.

I'm inclined to agree. (Awaits someone reminding me what my profile picture is!).

Though I think that's a bit different.

Singing anti Muslim songs after a terror attack is nothing like singing the PM is a c**t, not remotely comparable 😂

I'm not saying it should be encouraged, but if it reflects the general mood of the general public (which it does) then freedom of speech and all that, I wouldn't say it's bringing politics into football - like I say, someone in authority saying it would be though.

I'm against people pissing against hedges and walls outside events but there's f¥€£ all I can do about that so chill at political chanting.

You dont think it's comparable, I do. Politics like religion is not related to what you're watching.

Either way, you've gone to watch football so why not just support your team instead of pissing off a decent chunk of your own following?

It's only a very a small minority now that doesn't think BJ is a c**t 😉

I don't think it is remotely compatible. One is showing displeasure at a privileged man who is leading the country and is perfectly able to cope with being disliked by a proportion of the population. The other is targeting a minority who are disadvantaged and likely to suffer harassment.

Also one is illegal and the other isn't.

Why would somebody be pissed off that Boris Johnson is being called a c**t?
In the same way a few at Huddersfield sang fk the Tories. It pissed me off for a start. I don't travel and spend my hard earned to hear our own chanting that and has fk all to do with watching City.

Pretty much agree with what Rob said in his initial post.
It's not something that overly bothers me but I agree with Rob on this occasion.

I agree. It just feels/looks a bit weird at the football. Think they should be venting their anger at their team and manager after recent performances. Arsenal could’ve had a shedload yesterday

Couldn't disagree with your argument more.

Broad generalisation against people because of their race, religion, gender or sexual preference is obviously wrong.

Having a go at a specific person when they are in a position of power (and being perceived to abuse said power) is fine in my book.

The former is punching down, the latter is punching up and I'm okay with that.

If you don't vote you are a c**t.

There, I said it.

True fact that.

You can call whoever you wish whatever you wish as you are special.

You couldn't have missed the point more. It's not about Boris, nor the merits of him or not but the wider aspect of bringing politics to a football game. It has no place.

Thank you very much. Not enough people acknowledge my genius.

You're obviously a good judge of character.

Chapeau.

There is nothing divisive about it at all, the division between people who voted for the Tories and who didn't is already there and doesn't cause any problems. People can sing about him if they want to.

He is a c**t. Just ask any of his ex wives, mistresses, girlfriends, children he has nothing to do with, children that will have nothing to do with him.

I've met your type before.

Next you'll be calling for the players to not wear poppies to remember our brave boys every November.

Because politics has no place in sport.

Number 10 spokesman last week: There was no social event at number 10 on 15th May

This week: photographic evidence of social event, including the PM

Why oh why do they keep denying it. So fucking stupid.

Actual photographic evidence of the Prime Minister breaking his own rules

Sparkling wit and repartee. Lovely.

Are you available for parties?

I do admire multi tasking - logging into multi accounts must be taxing - though COV seems to have stopped now
