Derby points deduction (11 Viewers)

It's starting to get a bit nasty. But I think the point is, the prospective buyers know the extent of money owed to MSD and HMRC, what they don't know is what if any, the amount will be owed to Middlesboro and Wycombe, should they win their claims

If Middlesbrough are going public with letters like that, I can only assume they're either owed a serious wedge, are in major financial difficulties of their own, or both.

Gibson is a parasite and a disgrace - his carefully worded statement is really shocking - what a revolting individual he is proving to be

Grendal you're a walking asshole all you do is chat shit.

So tell me how many games vs Derby a great club with great tradition have you attended? Give examples when they mocked us?

I’ve attended games at the Baseball Ground several times over many years

Nobody made Mel Morris or Derby do what they did, nobody there complained when they got 90 minutes from the top flight either. They gambled, massively, with money they didn't have and owe a lot to a lot.

Why is it you're so charitable towards them but not towards other businesses that go to the wall?

Gibson has form against us?

Did we complain at Sixfields when we clearly breached rules.

Would you have wanted us to go to the wall?

Its odd that he lambasts SISU so much yet lets Mel Morris get away with what hes done

I actually said at the time at a Trust meeting that SISU had done it to try and bust ACL. Derby have voluntarily spent far, far beyond their means. When Wolves did it they got praise, Derby have done it and failed.

Again, nobody made them did they? As you've said before, businesses go pop all the time. Maybe if a big name does this time people at the top will wake up and realise the system's broken. Then again you're in favour of it which is why you find yourself bending over backwards to argue why they shouldn't be punished

Didn’t we laugh at Walsall for kicking off about how we were affording Wilson, Clarke, Fleck etc.

No fan ever questions anything when the good times are rolling.

Live by the sword, die by the sword. If you're happy to enjoy piss taking levels of overspending you can't reasonably complain if it backfires.

Thing is when someone is telling you they can afford it, they’re a derby fan etc you go along with it.

I mean let’s face it we kicked our issues down the road then splashed the cash on Eastwood etc in sisus first few seasons. Nobody questioned it.

mel Morris is a massive chancer, but the derby fans don’t deserve this, certainly by another football league sidebasing their argument on them winning the play offs and another side who got into the league originally becuase O’Hare missed a sitter and we had to play an FA Cup replay.

let’s face it, if we’d have beaten blues, we’d have ended up playing and beating Wycombe when we played our replay

Some fans will have been sceptical though, just in a minority. The refinancing of the ground for a quite ridiculous £80 million should have rung huge alarm bells.

But it’s a common loophole, isn’t Mel Morris worth 400 million? It was played off as accounting tricks - unethical yeah. But legal.

Bristol City are in the shit but because landsdown is worth billions they’re not questioned

Which is where we come back to the English game and especially this league being a total basket case that needs serious reform. We're at the point where a big traditional club going to the wall is what's needed for people to realise

You do realise if we’d been a championship club under these rules with Steve Gibson lobbying the same comaint We’d have no football club and the only thing that threatens them is his case?

Did Gibson put them into admin?

What are you on about? If we were under admin during the Blackburn year we’d be now dead as a dodo - we’ve been in admin twice this century in reality

Really this is a joke. Football clubs exist by the same rules as every other business. If Derby can’t find a buyer under agreed administration rules of course they would then be facing insolvency

However a spurious legal claim cannot be considered a valid legitimate means of forcing liquidation - Middlesbrough would forever be a shameful blot on football

Maybe they should start producing PPE, befriend a tory minister and get in a VIP lane.

Problem solved.
