Probably need to see the whole press conference to judge. I mean its not like its unknown for the Telegraph to focus on one thing and try and make it sound worse than what was actually said.
Just looking on the clubs twitter feed you can see that there was a fair amount of work done at Ryton in the summer and the groundman who looks after the pitches is apparently award winning.
As for budget where do you think the money is going to come from? Our owners are going to put extra money in because Robins wants new changing rooms at Ryton. There's pot of cash and it can be divided up whatever way Boddy and Robins see fit but if we spend x amount on Ryton that's x amount that won't be available in the player budget.
I'm well aware of the process CD. However, I just find the wording very strange. Obviously less overall money means less money available for MR. But why push it out to the press?
It just sounds desperate. Even if that's the reality of the situation I don't understand why they've vocalised it.
Perhaps it's the CT twisting things, they certainly have a history, but even some of the words used by Robins are quite odd and without fabricating what he said, not totally sure how they could have been twisted.
That being said I don't want to speculate more than I already have as it usually ends in tears on here, however I just think it's a bizarre article.
