My fear is one these times the person going on will have a mental problem and be carrying a weapon .As aside note I hope the older steward in front of singers corner number 151 (I think) is alright .He took a knock to the face from one of the idiots. These are not fans there just hangers on . The club take the fines and restrictions having to pay for their madness

Pricks have left my kid not wanting to go to his first away game (Swansea). Happened right in front of us (block 18). I remember seeing the first bloke in the concourse at HT and thinking "f*cking hell, how much beak you had, pal?" Looked ruined. In short, Tw*ts . Have a f*cking word with yourselves.

Think the first two rows in stands should be netted and stewards can occupy the front of the aisles not ideal admittedly but can’t see any other way of curtailing drunken idiots.

Other option is for the club to out in the terms of the ticket that any fines incurred for going on the pitch will be automatically handed over to the person who entered the pitch... then it doesn't hurt the club.

That's why you get searched on the way in.

Take everyone's money off them then. Or just don't go if your that scared
I may be over 70 but something like Saturday won't put me off going .I have seen far worse in the 60 odd years i've been going.I come back to weapons in the hands of mentel people and not being able to stop them by searches. At 1 game back end of last year I wore and old coat I grabbed out of the garage.Only when I got home did i realize I had a screwdriver in the pocket. The mention of the money thown not all the idiots run on the pitch some are seated or standing next to you and me.If we see anything we have to point it out or face having the ground shut.

The search you get when your entering cannot possibly detect everything time does not allow. If these idiots want to they could bring many potential weapons in.By the way i noticed a least 2 coins were thrown when it kicked off.

I did the same put an old coat on I used for fishing years ago and as I queued to go in found an old lock-knife in the inside pocket and got patted down feeling guilty as f##k I meekly went in.

Brainless, everyone on the pitch Cov or Preston will be identified, nicked then banned for life. from all football matches, let them explain that to their nippers when they want to go with to footie.
As for trouble the problem as I see it is being central and plenty of seats available Coventry is a popular away day with plenty of away knuckle draggers on show our herberts know it and there plenty of welcome parties are around.

Banned for life for a jog around the pitch? When I read this thread I throught there were a few going a bit far. Just read the below judgement for an Everton fan who threw a bottle into a players face. 4 year ban and no jail time. Yet a few on here want to ban our own for life for a moment of drug or drink fuelled madness! Jogging on the pitch needs to be stopped and fines need to be a big deterrent like £2000+ but as long as they pay the money to the club, I would let then back the next season.
Hitting a player while doing your lap of shame is 100% a very long ban. Does anyone know what the Leicester fan got for his antics at Forest this season?

Don’t go on the pitch and don’t throw things at people , the latter your taught as a child. It’s not difficult?

Drink/drugs is no excuse for acting like an utter prick. Deserve everything they get and shouldn’t be allowed back in.

The majority of people come to watch a good game of football, we don’t want it being spoiled by mindless idiots acting like dickheads.

I hate this "one of our own" bullshit. They just support the same team as you and they should face the consequences of their actions like every other team's fans.

Penalties for getting on the pitch need to be harsher or they'll be bringing back fences and nobody wants that. Idiots of any colour fucking it up for the rest of us.

I personally have more time for city fans than other football fans as we have collectively been through a lot over the years. That said I am very happy to condemn an idiot when I see one and the 'one of our own' comment is not really central to the point being made. Could you highlight in my post where i am calling for city fans to get more lenient treatment?

I simply bumped this thread as I was slightly shocked by what in my view was an OTT reaction on here to a couple of fans running on the pitch. Bans for life were being called for vs the professional judgement on the Everton fan who through a bottle in a players face and was given a 4 year ban.

I would hate fences back and realistically I think we are absolutely miles away from that being a likely scenario.

If you read my post again I am clearly calling for £2000+ fines and a season ban for entering the pitch with the ban remaining until the bill is paid in full. To most that would a strong deterrent and enough of a pubishment but maybe I am just too understanding that some make mistakes under the influence.
