Maybe he really gees the boys up in the dressing room after a loss cos on the pitch he’s anonymous.

He [Allen] is 'anonymous' because he doesn't fall over every 5 minutes and doesn't give the ball away. He just keeps the ball moving, doesn't try wonder balls and covers a lot of ground to stop opponents from having time to pick a pass. Shame we don't have a few more anonymous players.

He’s a tidy L1 player, he’s got no place at the heart of a top half Championship side. He runs about a lot, but is mostly anonymous at CM. He’s a passable backup AM.

As I have said plenty of times Allen runs about a lot but usually arrives after the ball has been passed because he is too slow as you say for a championship midfield player, I suppose budget restraints was the reason he was given a new contract but we need sooo much better than Allen who for me is a league 1 player at best

We are punching above our weight this season. The harsh reality is we have players in thr forward positions who are not quick, direct or agile enough. As Steve says above, Allen is always running because he's always chasing the ball. He's not once beat a man with pace when breaking forward a d similar to godden, if he has a 5 yard head start sprinting with the ball, they are always caught up within 3 strides.

We don't have that side to our squad. And we've become passive because teams have worked us out. For me, dabo comes straight in on Saturday instead of kane and MR picks a team and injuries providing, sticks with that 11 for the next 3. This swapping sheaf, Allen, mcfadz and Rose, bidwell and maatson on a rotating basis has fucked us up
