Direct isn’t a negative. Gyokeres is not great at interplay he’s great at stretching defences and running channels. Today we did that.

I have to be honest I think Maatsen isn’t that great and defensively he’s very poor. Against Luton he was atrocious

I didn’t make Luton G, so can’t comment, but I think Maatsen was fairly solid today, and gave us an option down his flank.

Godden and vik make a decent partnership tbh .

Fulham and blades scored 5 between them , looked decent at posh when vik came on ..

Vik doing the second striker role / workhorse ... godden the box striker works well for us .. they've 25 goals basically between them .

If they could play a full season together there is no reason why they can't muster 40 goals

I thought Maatsen was solid and did brilliantly on the fourth goal. JCS and Rose were really good too.

There was lots of good link play between Gyokeres and Godden so perhaps we can forget the myth that they can't play together. Five goals and two assists between them in two games against Fulham and Sheffield United.

Well godden has 17 in 43 championship games for us , he was carrying for a niggle for some of those , and vik definitely looks like he can notch between 15 and 20 over 46 games as he has 13 in 35 this season

I have said many times I think when he’s not scoring he’s a total passenger. Was the same today. Fortunately he had that chance which O’Hare put on a plate for him that he finished.

I do think sometimes you ignore the closing down etc , I don't think we should argue about it now , rather watch what work he puts in on Wednesday ... Il give you Luton wasn't great , but he works very hard , he's not the same type of forward as vik..there arent many like vik in this league to be honest but godden is a better goalscorer in general , vik is a defenders nightmare

Granted he presses, but his link up play is poor and he doesn’t run the channels very well. He’s a player that suits teams that can dominate the ball.

Granted he presses, but his link up play is poor and he doesn’t run the channels very well. He’s a player that suits teams that can dominate the ball.

Godden is a classic box player .. he will score when in on goal 6/7 out of 10 times on average .. holds it up relatively well and can link quite well in central areas .
Wins a fair few flick ons too .. thought the front 3 were great second half today , godden obviously the less glamorous of the 3 but did his job
