Those stills don’t prove that it was in. Live I was sure the ref was going to give it. When it wasn’t given I begrudgingly accepted that it hadn’t crossed the line.
Ignoring the ball and seeing how far the defender is from the line seems that the ball should be over when it hits him.
I wonder if the watch was checked post game or if we’ll ever know.
Bottom line. We lost and it’s lucky it wouldn’t have been an equalizer or winner.
I decided I’m not sure enough either way to vote but gut feeling is it didn’t cross the line.
I should have scrolled further. I’ve voted now. No goal

Where has it been pointed out that I'm wrong? The technology gives a scientific yes or no answer to a goal. The answer is no as the whole ball has not crossed the line. Its very simple

it's a flawed picture you halfwitted lesta twat
Why would the hawkeye be a flawed picture but the grainy twitter picture be 100% spot on? Mate let it go. We were shite and the ball wasn't over the line

Serious question.

Why doesn't the Hawkeye footage show the rugby line?

But why have they chosen to do that instead of given the point where you think it would show a goal?

What are the EFL gaining from cheating this goal away?
Not said anyone is gaming anyone, just the tech failed.

Bevause it’s reconstructed. It likely works off a virtual line based on the base of the goal posts calibrated on set up not on the actual painted lines.

David I can see you're understandably frustrated given ours and the referees performance so I'll leave it there. They don't just make the technology up from any random picture. Once the ball crosses the line completely the refs watch buzzes and tells him it's over the line. At no point did this happen

If the tech failed why have they released a Hawkeye showing it not to be a goal? What are they gaining from it?
Because the still taken is after it hits their player and rolls back towards the line.

We didn't deserve anything but wow

I've never really been in an argument with David O'Day before and think people take it too far with the stuff they say about him, but maybe I was wrong. Lunatic.

Wow etc
Lol

Which makes it worse for me. The image shows the ball on the line by a blade or two of grass.

Every chance those two blades of grass aren't even white.

Then the paint would be wrong technically.

I think the whole ball whole line thing is a stupid rule but it is the rule.

I think that’s the issue. The margin is so fine it is possibly over the line but not the virtual line. We are talking about 2mm. I blame the groundsman

So for arguments sake, if the whole ball over the line thing is stupid, where do you draw the line?

Middle of the line for me. It’s not logical, just feels wrong to me.

Genuine question is that the rule for all lines? Is a foul a mm into the pen area like a pen?
