tbf, with three children and an ex wife, and oil fired central heating, he probably is. Not as much as some, but more than Rees-Mogg.

And it does actually show some kind of empathy in there too. It's actually not a bad interview overall... for a Tory, anyway ;)

The only plus to the energy hike so far is the the gang of lads running 24/7 bitcoin mines in 4 industrial units near me may have to get a new plan.....The amount of heat being kicked out of their vents could heat the rest of the units in the terrace!

I'm sorry but I just don't understand why he gets the brunt of your ire rather than Boris Johnson?

Yes Starmer should say more, I fully agree with you there. But it doesn't matter if he says nothing or if he promises to pay everyone's energy bills for the next year out of his own pocket - he can't do anything about it.

Meanwhile the man who can actually do something about it.... is silent and too busy trying to keep his Russian links out the news and trying to quieten stories of him breaking the law.

You’re missing the point again…..

All we’ve been told is ‘finally an effective opposition’ and all that bollocks. This is literally the biggest and widest open goal of all time - grab the opportunity, champion nationalisation of energy companies which is hugely popular across the political spectrum, and fight tooth and nail to try and get the Government to do something about this crisis. He’s said virtually fuck all and when he does speak he produces the mealy-mouthed bollocks he did today.
He either lacks the political skill and acumen, or he doesn’t give a fuck. Problem is I’m not sure which one it is.
Corbyn would have been tearing this Government apart on every airwave on every day and every chance he had to raise it.
Boris and his government have buckled under bad press nearly every single time.

And yet all Corbyn could muster was an 80 seat majority to the Tories.

He's one of the main reasons we're in this mess. I know you won't like that, but it's true.

I think it's more political acumen than not giving a shit. He seems scared to say anything for fear of alienating anyone. Whether that's due to advisors or his own nature I'm not sure - probably a bit of both.

Corbyn did gain the biggest share of tbd vote since Blair in his prime.

The one reason the majority was so large (and without the Brexit party would have been worse - Coventry would have two Tory M.Ps) was some out of touch twat with a dumbass Brexit policy

it was piss poor but most of those seats would never have gone Tory if the Brexit policy was to honour the referendum

Starmer will trip himself up again over this again before the next election

If Labour had seen Brexit through they probably would have still lost. But it would have been much much closer. Trying to obstruct democracy is awfully good at losing you votes.
