“Some” Tories have allegedly given the Mail on Sunday a story that Angela Rayner has been doing Sharon Stone Basic Instinct leg crossing when Boris is at the dispatch box to put him off. Not even making that up. That is an actual story in the MOS.What is it?

The way they behave in the house I'd suggest year 9 is too oldWoman in wearing skirt shocker. Absolutely pathetic. Are they in Y9 Maths or the House of Commons?
Be nice if he reflected over his next term on how she got to the run off twice.Macron beats Le Pen
Probably for both.

Parliamentary elections in summer could "force" him to reflectBe nice if he reflected over his next term on how she got to the run off twice.
Do you think that they ever tire of making themselves look stupid
Especially considering a lot of her domestic and economic policy was very similar to melenchons....
What was the turnout btw?
A huge chunk of Macrons vote was not any kind of endorsement.....just votes to keep Le Pen out.
How can it be 50% of the electorate when as you point out it was a record low turnout, almost 30% didn’t turn out in either first or second round. So you’re talking about 45% of the 70% turnout of the electorate. She’d have won if it was like you’ve presented it, an even narrower victory than Macron but she’d still have won.Turnout was the lowest since 1969......and thats including the 3+ million spoiled/blank protest votes.

Also, this election has highlighted the major flaws of the two-round run-off system, where the 2 nationalist parties polled over 45% compared to Macrons 27%. It then relies on endorsements (or lack of them) for the 2nd round.
A very effective way of alienating about 50% of your electorate.
No wonder the French Press were stating it was "like choosing between Cholera or the plague"
That's how a lot of elections go though.
Certainly the last general election here - many people voted, depending on which side of they fence they were on, to keep either Johnson or Corbyn out. I know I did.
He won a larger percentage of the vote on a bigger turnout than Boris did in 2019.The system is bizarre - the two left of centre parties blew each other out.
73% of the electorate who could even be arsed to vote voted against him.
Don’t think he’s going to have much backing in the parliamentary elections

No I didn’t. Turnout in round one was about 70% so at best it’s 45% of 70% of the electorate as only 70% of the electorate turned out. So about 32% of the electorate in round one voted for the right not nearly 50% as you claimed.No. You misunderstood.
I was referring to the 50% of all votes cast in round one that are then effectively binned as only the leading 2 candidates progress to round 2......
