He definitely gives that impression but I was surprised when I heard an interview with him how grounded he appeared to be. It's also been a while since we had someone who is able to wind up the opposition on the pitch.I wholeheartedly agree that his wage demands would probably be out of our range however.

I think he is a very talented player, even looked good in the Premier, but his record over the last year not impressive

That's true but just imagine if he was a good fit here and Robins was able to get the best out of him. It's all hypothetical anyway because it won't happen

I'd really like Matt Clarke from Brighton (Been on loan at West Brom and two years before at Derby).

Probably West Brom's most consistent player at the back. Left footed and has played on the left hand side of a back three before.

In the last year of his contract, so wouldn't be a huge fee required to get him.

Is also 25, so would still have resale value and fits with our model.

Andy Carroll not being kept at WBA. He is still a quality centre forward - probably end u at Sheff Utd or the like (if they don't go up)
What a tenuous link…

former Newcastle United and Liverpool striker who once came close to joining the Sky Blues is set to become available on a free transfer

Really good shout - looked fairly robust but also very comfortable on the ball when we last played them if I'm thinking of the right player

Harry Cornick Luton
Joe Rothwell Blackburn
Alfie Mawson or Hector Fulham
Sawyers WBA
Palmer Barnsley
Risky but Nick Powell at Stoke he will not be getting a big contract due to past injuries. When fit a really good player who he as an eye for a goal.

Names that I'm not saying we can, will or even look at, but who knows at this point who and what we can afford.

We need to be trawling for L1 and below best players, or looking for PL youngsters who can't break through in the PL (like Ostigard, Gyokeres, Clarke at WBA, Keinan Davies at Forest) - but can potentially shine in the Championship, and also increase in value.

Will Keane from Wigan

Please no. I get the idea as he has had an excellent season for Wigan, but for what he will cost it's a no from me.

He's 30 next season, this is by far his best season for contributions. The best before this year was 10 goals the season before. He doesn't fit the profile for what we need.

Would rather sign Ronan Curtis as he is still young, has a proven L1 record and I think he could make the step up

If all three went and we had £20m+ to spend. What do people reckon we’d do with it? I reckon only Sheaf would stay in the first team, though maybe we wouldn’t want to upset the team spirit with big changes.

I reckon build the team around Sheaf, Moore and Godden potentially the likes of Twine, Stewart and Clarke-Salter may come in maybe could see Maatsen again on loan, potentially a signing of Barbett on a free to slot in at Central CB, Hyam or Rose at RCB, Eccles in at CM and Dabo at RWB, obviously the arrival of some squad players as well.

To end up with 20+ how much would they have sold for?

My thinking was maybe closer to £25m received with £5m going to the bean counters.

Point really wasn’t about the exact amount though and more how much surgery do you do to the squad at one time.

I suspect our shot at signing Twine is long gone!

Can i ask why? The player is still with Milton Keynes I think they probably will not go up Wycombe and either Sunderland or Sheffield Wednesday stand between them and the championship.I know he is linked with Notts Forrest but if they go up their targets might switch higher to the likes of COH or Hamer plus who is to say MR has not already put a bid in . As for £7 million each mentioned on here for our 3 I would want a decent bit more, they are worth far more than that to us.
