That's exactly the point - voters should have the information to make an informed decision about who they're voting for. I wouldn't have you as a political Nostradamus and we're closer to the break up of the Union than we've probably ever been. Scotland have had a reasonable appetite for a while and after the treatment post-independence referendum and voting to leave the EU, not to mention the utter shitshow in Westminster by a party they traditionally despise anyway. The results in NI show that the same things like Brexit have brought NI to a position I'd have considered totally impossible even 10 years ago. Then with Wales I think it's a matter of them waiting for one of the others to go, again with the Tory shitshow really grating on them as well.

It has stuck because the narrative has allowed it to stick. We may not have seen it nationally but that misinformation will have been spread locally and deliberately.
If the same happens nationally it will be difficult to shed - even if he is totally innocent.
This is the control and influence that exists through the media… they know exactly what they are doing.

When it comes to council elections the Labour candidates here knock on your door to insult you for not voting for them. Their sales pitch as candidates being ‘I’m a Corbynista’. For the general election, the sitting MP ignores his constituents. His party leader enjoys sneering and general smarminess.

Perhaps it isn’t always about demanding perfection from the party, just for the candidates and figureheads to not be pricks.
