The war in Ukraine is such a red herring. Parliament is speaking with one voice on Ukraine and it echoes public opinion. The idea that Boris is the only one holding support for Ukraine together is just bollocks. It’s also pretty low to use the war in Ukraine as some sort of human shield to save his own back.

I think your missing my point there Otis,
Sky can't control the price of food or heating. They can however control the price of their product which hundreds of thousands of people are currently under contract with.
If they want to take the moral high ground why not reduce prices or better still allow people who are struggling to cancel their conracts.
It isn’t and it’s kind of irrelevant as Rigby isn’t Sky and has nothing to do with their pricing decisions
However most people who have sky will be tied into contracts so will have to suffer price increases or break contract.

Let’s be honest there’s a lot of profiteering going on. Bailey was right to warn about risks of wage price spiral (although communicated it poorly) but he also should’ve said big business also needs to suck it up and try to swallow some of the inflation to help avoid this

Imagine putting in place a policy to help the worst off in society not because you want to, or because you feel like helping those in need, but because you need to cover for the Prime Minister's law breaking.

Rory Stewart is right, we can’t have a government not focussed on the significant issues we as a country are facing…and that’s what the Tory MPs should be considering. I personally think Johnson should try to put this to bed himself (as he wont resign) and call a confidence vote…I won’t hold my breath though
They were always going to take more action. Sunak had said he wanted to know what the energy cap might rise to in Oct first. The timing of the announcement is embarrassingly transparent though !
