So you're complaint is that you had no idea that Mariupol had fallen, then admit you don't follow mainstream news. So how was mainstream news supposed to inform you? Telepathy?

I agree that at all times, and especially during war, you have to be very careful of what is reported, but that isn't necessarily the fault of journalists. War zones are dangerous places, so their movements are likely to be heavily restricted and thus their access to information limited. How can they report on what the Russians are up to when the Russians are hardly going to go around telling everyone? Then you've got the spin each side wants to put on it. The steelworks for example - if official sources have told then it's an evacuation then they have to report that. If the Russians call it a surrender who to believe?

Haven't complained once , just saying how I found out .

Ukraine are now targeting Kherson to retake the city 4000 troops 100 tanks and airforce made major gains today, I do like the Ukraine tactics, wait and counter attack retake ground lost ages ago, if they take Kherson they can get to crimera pretty easy and on top of that usa sending mlrs uk increasing there support so is Italy and the Dutch, I guess by the end of summer Russia will either give up and kill themselves to the point of no armed forces.

Don't know the legal situation re. international waters, but you would hope a combined fleet from interested nations would try to protect/escourt ships as a humanitarian effort.

How you stop Russia attacking Odesa with missiles etc. I don't know.

Also as economies around the world struggle partly due to this war .. what will happen if Russia win and are then in control of ALL the goods we've been paying through the nose for already due to this war ?

Not sure , problem I have with it all is , as they gain more and more territory , they gain control of more of the worlds resources along with it , and with that comes power , more power than they already had

Same as with gas and oil (which thankfully we as a country don’t have to worry about really), effort needs to go into bringing more food supply online so we aren’t beholden to them. But they’ll clean up in places like India and Africa.

My contacts there say they had taken some but rail transport difficult. Some large stores burnt down. But bulk of production in areas not under Russian control. Problem is storing grain as stores need to be emptied to allow for what harvest there will be coming in at end of June and July. Stored grain can't be shipped as so much goes by rail to the ports which are now under Russian control. Russia keeps control over those ports then they will throttle the rest of Ukraine anyway over coming years - as well as controlling a significant portion of world grain and oils supply.

A couple of issues are Ukrainian railways different gauge to European so transport slow already. sheer volume of Ukrainian agricultural exports to other parts of the world would make rail to other ports a difficult option.

Well Russia certainly aren't winning it.

That has been a (very successful) strategy of Ukraine throughout the war. Pull back and then counter attack.

I am confident in saying I think Ukraine will win this war (though at huge cost of course).
