The Killers were quality and then ended up in the Wheatsheaf till about 1 this morning. Turned it in about 2 and now up again and getting dropped at the Memorial in about an hour.

We go again. 👀
The Killers ended up at the Wheatsheaf? Wow. 😁

it was a great show, although there’s going to be a lot of bans going round for fans on the pitch….. ;)

Regardless of whether the acts are your cup of tea or not, this event has been massive for the city!

Definetely!

It’s been great for the City. Really enjoyed the day, and whilst every act we’re not all my cup of tea, the whole thing was cracking. The finish from Calvin Harris last night was brilliant!

Be Great to keep this going now with other major events. Really put the city on the map and help the local economy.

What an amazing first ever concert for my youngest. I think it was even better it got cancelled, 2 years older now he appreciated so much more than he would have done two years ago.

Amazing weekend for this city. Crowds were phenomenal all weekend and loads of positivity from the media and tourists in town.

Highlight was O'Hare. If you'd have said 6/7 years ago that we'd have a weekend where the spotlight was on the city after a year of being city of culture, followed by a top artist bringing out our number 10 on stage to thousands singing his name, we would have laughed.

This is a great city, I wish more of the locals realised it. The change in the last 10 years is remarkable.

Absolutely agree, the negativity of some of the locals towards our own city pisses me right off. I love Cov.

Got to say, I didn't go but went for a walk round the park yesterday and it all looked far more organised than the godiva.
The surrounding areas were actually pretty quiet.

Absolutely awesome weekend my highlights of what I remember Calvin Harris smashing it and the Foals on the Sunday was class definitely a big fan of them. Loved every minute of it.

The real Bugsy will be one of worst affected, as he lives about as close to park you can get!

Funny u should say that as on Sunday I actually met him and his daughter and grandchild had a photo with him and said my uncle named me after u, made mine and his day lol 😆

Totally agree about the City. I feel a great fondness for my home City that I haven't felt so much for a long time, and may well be heading back to the fair City after a Stint in the Warwickshire sticks.

Really disappointed I didn’t get to the Tom Grennan and Sam Fender sets

Saw a bit of Sam Fender who was great, and Tom Grennan was excellent....no worries for you though Tommo, get yourself to the Saturday set on the Godiva and Tom Grennan is headlining. I'm definitely heading back for that.

Godiva organisers have said in the Telegraph this morning that they plan to use it as a template for future festivals.

It was laid out brilliantly with the tent and main stage so far apart.

Watched a few acts back on iPlayer, none of them bad from what I saw so what a great advert for the City
Harry Styles girly top let things down big time.

I only went on the Sunday so not sure how it was Saturday, but it seemed far better organised than Godiva usually is.
No scrums at the bar waiting for a drink and they even had designated areas when leaving depending on if you were getting a taxi or the coaches.
Didn't see any trouble either

Really enjoyed it

If they could attract some bigger acts even better

I think for the price of a ticket, the artists they have attracted so far is worth it.

The decision Godiva has to make is whether they want to up the cost to a more common fee of £50 a day to attract a huge line up.

I'd prefer they kept it as it is, whole point of Godiva is to allow locals an opportunity to attend a festival free/cheaply.

£6.40 a pint was steep even in these times. It was around £5 at Godiva in October.

The problem with godiva is the chavs.

The different gangs of the city all congregate in one field pissed up and usually carrying a knife

If you made it 18+ and metal scanners at the entrance, along with a higher entry price and better lineup that would eradicate it.

I let my partner of 5 years take my 7 year old daughter on Saturday, they had a great time.

Would i fuck think of allowing her to go Godiva, same with my 12 year old boy, it kicks off every year and will only get worse

When did you last go? They've had metal scannersfor years, the hand held ones rather than the walk through one's.
I've seen very little trouble in the last few years.
