Transfer Shouts (44 Viewers)

long way home

I cant see MR falling for another player signed with a history of injury and attitude, especially when its a tight budget with every penny counting. All transfers are a risk but this one with Brown is too much of one for me. Palmer i can understand, Tino i would like, Rudoni makes sense and Callum Wright would fit into the group.

Brown is none of the above and hope its not him, can believer or betterdays eliminate that name as a possibility, would calm a few down and save a few posts for sure.

Can’t see who else it can be if the info is accurate. Palmer is on 22k a week and wouldn’t go to Cardiff who presumably can offer more than us

Trust me

I really don’t understand the logic of spunking all our money on a guy who played 6 games last season in a poor Bristol team. If he turned down $12k at Cardiff I don’t want to think what salary he would be getting at us… what a bloody waste!

I get that. However, have a think about why he would come here over Cardiff. And he wont be on 12k a week here.

He wants to play and rediscover his class, under a person who nurtured him and brought him through

I wonder who that might be...

Also its not all our money. We're better off this summer than a lot of people think

Looks like the '3 that are ready to drop' are not dropping!
We can only hope that it's because investment has been secured and we are now 'shopping at Harrods' to quote John Sillett back in the day.

People are away on breaks at the moment - isn't it next week that things are likely to start happening iirc?

Something more exciting that we haven’t been speaking about is the CB from a top PL club, @Skybluebeliever is this one done or still on?
The centre back target is not sorted and there are a few options , this I think is the furthest away but things are changing daily , quite a few players have been on holiday and returning soon so would expect things to move then

If you want to know why the parachute payment system should be scrapped, how about this from the CEO at Sheffield United ?!
“We can sign a player on £70,000 a week” – Key Sheffield United figure reveals transfer window intentions

“To put it bluntly, the loan market means we can sign a player on £70,000 a week from a Premier League club because of where the numbers are, so we feel we can get a couple of really decent players from the Premier League,” Bettis told The Star.

Effectively saying they can afford to chuck £7m on wages for a couple of loan players.

Being made to train with the 23s is not something managers do lightly

Had a loan of loans ended early as well. Big wages, failed to deliver at multiple clubs at this level but still keeps getting picked up. Talk of him having the potential to be the best number 10 in the division in that article, on the bright side maybe he wants to come here to work with his old boss at one last chance of reaching his potential. I certainly wouldn’t be putting him on a Bidwell style contract though.

we have seen players move teams and suddenly burst into life, I’m sure MR & AV know enough about the lad to know he will slot into our style of play and hopefully be a bit of a coup for the club.

This is exactly the sort of business we should be conducting in my opinion.
