Good to have options and strength in depth though. I’d sooner have the likes of Kane and Bidwell on the fringes then Dacosta and Pask.Doing this, makes the bidwell signing really odd so I'd be surprised? Not sure he's a long-term solution at LCB.
Wouldn’t be surprised by thisI’d be more than happy to have him back, was it said if it was a perm or a loan? Tie in with anything you have heard @Skybluebeliever @better days ?
Have Norwich paid his fee in full? Perhaps there are add on liabilities to us? If he is sold on we get a percentage anyway?
Maybe a sell back negates those liabilities.
Might be something in it I suppose.
I liked McCallum good lad can play wb, fb & left side cb. Been strange he hasn’t got into Norwich or QPR more regularly. Bidwell is similar too so I reckon the two between could be decent.I've heard Sam Mcallaum is joining us, accurate source.
Agree completely. Was frustrating in the final third but defensively was very decent and personally thought he was better than Maatsen (certainly at this stage in his career).McCallum is a strange one for me; always thought he was good, and undoubtedly had/has potential, but had a few gaps - most noticeably offensively - so I was confidrmt we’d find a suitable replacement. For whatever reason we haven’t, yet.
So I would have him back as we know what he offers, plus he has another years experience, and perhaps the grass isn’t always greener re replacements!
If he actually plays for them. Milestone add ons. Who knows what the contract says?Might be appearances for other clubs on loan. He’s played one League Cup game in 2020 for Norwich, what add ons were you thinking?!
I think they will get offers for all three of them over the next few weeks , the club have no control over this . I think they are expecting one to go and probably prefer Hamer but if the offers are big enough it could make it interestingNot caught up with this thread for a few days; just read through I don’t know how many pages and I know no more than when I started.
I know we’re all impatient but let’s wait and see how things transpire over the next few weeks before we start any doom and gloom.
I’ve said it a few times before but if one of the big three do need to go, then it has to be Hamer for me.

No doubt a sell on fee like Maddison.
I’m guessing, with some logic, a similar transfer contract to Maddison.
Do you know if Norwich have payed the McCallum fee in full, perhaps we could pull a deal where they dont have to pay any more of the fee and we give them a small chunk of moneyI think they will get offers for all three of them over the next few weeks , the club have no control over this . Not if they sell him back to us in exchange for not paying any outstanding instalments. Sell to anyone else and they will.I don’t think there’s going to be any need to worry about sell on clauses etc.
Am I the only one who doesn’t rate McCallum as highly as most do on here ?
Think he played for QPR when fit, but missed a chunk of the season injured.I liked McCallum good lad can play wb, fb & left side cb. Been strange he hasn’t got into Norwich or QPR more regularly. Bidwell is similar too so I reckon the two between could be decent.

They signed JCS so I think we should sign McCallumYoung player of the year at QPR.
If we had McC lined up then it makes sense that we didn’t pull out extra stops to sign JCS.They signed JCS so I think we should sign McCallum
Surely it’ll be a loan, we can’t afford himWould be delighted with McCallum back. That would be LWB sorted for a decade.
Need a left footed CB to help him out more than Hyam did last season though.
Surely it’ll be a loan, we can’t afford him
I think the reason we saw him sit back more and looked more reluctant to go forward was because of the imbalance and having Hyam behind him so he looked to keep it more defensively sound rather than attack, where as Maatsen had JCS behind him who without a doubt looked more comfortable as he was left footedWould be delighted with McCallum back. Why couldnt weSurely it’ll be a loan, we can’t afford him
Why couldnt we
I’d like him back but think it’ll be a loanI think if we resigned him and confirm Palmer I would be very confident for the season ahead already as it would bring me higher optimism the signings to follow
We can afford that, Im sure we can spend about 500k-1m topsOn a permanent? Doubt it mate what would they want, at least 500k
