Sorry but in the big scale of things I don't see keeping the 3 for the time being is such a huge financial risk as played out, particularly if any potential sale price is in the £5m region. I accept it limits options of bringing in new players, but even so I still think as a team we are better off with them than selling for £5m.

Our wage bill must be now very close to 100% of turnover what happens when we run out of cash?

I agree its a balancing act but I just don't buy into the argument that these players will all automatically lose their value in the next 12 months. They might, they might not. I just think the upside of keeping all 3 at the moment outweighs selling them. Of course, I accept if they become unsettled and push to leave then that dynamic changes, or if someone offers silly money, but as of now I think as a club we are better keeping all 3 and limiting any further transfer incomings to loans than selling them for £5m a piece.

Literally no one has said that? It's a possibility that the club will however have to factor into their decision making as and when bids start coming in.

I've no idea whether you are right on turnover or not. I guess if you are correct then we might indeed need to sell, however if that was the case I'm not quite sure why we bothered with new contacts for these players, losing the club more money in the process, if the intention was always to sell this Summer. Sometimes you need to take a calculated risk. This appears to me to be the right moment for the club to do that. The potential upside of hanging onto these players for 6 more months to a year to my mind is a risk worth taking as injuries aside I believe their value will only increase.

As I pointed out though, an offer of silly money or one of the players wanting out automatically changes this situation, but as of now I think we should keep all 3.

Our wage bill is upwards of £17 million

The calculated risk has already been taken - unsustainable contracts resulting in uptick of transfer fee.

Well they would lose value. A player with 2 years is worth more than a player with 12 months as at the end of the season he goes for 0. We’re not in a position to risk that. O’Hare, Hamer and Gyokeres currently are at their best value to us.

Well... depends if you think they're now at their peak or not.

I mean if you bothered reading my previous posts in this thread I've already said that?

Yes it is nearly there , this is why the club was dependent on SISU putting money into the club last season and will be this season, this has not happened for a few seasons

Money in as in equity or interest bearing loans?

I'm sure I saw somewhere that it was 102% or 98%... I know it surprised me and there was a 2pc difference to TO...
This may have been last year though (covid behind doors season) could be wrong though.

Glad to see it going up in line with our revenue streams which are going up season on season. This is normal.

Yes great and we have to use 17% interest loans to fund it

Can’t stand that sour faced, miserable fuck.

He’s had a ginormous chip on his shoulder about Cov ever since the Sheffield United ‘protest game’ on the TV, I seem to remember he took it really personally and thought it was some pre-planned agenda against Sheffield United

Good manager though

I love people on here that put their best Martin Lewis hat on and pretend like they know the financial position of the club (@Skybluebeliever seemingly the exception however understandably can’t say too much) and recommend they sell a player etc. Non of us have a clue what is going on behind the scenes. We should let the club worry about that instead of arguing about make belief figures on here.

Accounts are make believe figures?

Do you read only the PandL headlines?

How about Cash flow statements and Balance Sheet?

For example WASPs P+L gets boosted each year from Franchise type income which they received 4 years ago

I don’t see how that impacts us - the club hierarchy have admitted they need to sell to sustain our wage bill haven’t they?
