Not sure about that, you only deserve a chance with the first team if you’re good enough. The first team managers job is to put together competitive team/squad, players like Eccles have shown they can compete and will be part of the squad going forward

I think there have been a few issues behind the scenes and unfortunately Luke has left , I don’t think it’s been a fall out though
Jason Farndon and Luke were instrumental in getting us through the last few years and have brought a few players through , James Maddison being one
The introduction of Dennis Lawrence and the hiring of John Dempster both with good backgrounds have been vital in our next stage

Without getting into the whole womens football debate again would that be viewed as a move up, down or sideways?

Ladies football is certainly on the move, it’s a football job and I think Villa could become a force in the ladies game would be interesting to know the pay for full time coaches.

When he went missing I suspected he may have told the club he was leaving and was asked to go on gardening leave
Although he's gone to a close rival you wouldn't have thought it was a conflict with us as he'll be working with their women's side
