Nope- there skint….
They've only got £50m in cash reserves and have sold a player for £20m with parachute payments to come to support what was a comparatively low by PL standards wage bill.

They can afford whatever paltry sum Boddy is trying to punt O'Hare for.

If he does go it’s got to be 10 million plus add ons surely?
They’d probably double his wages, so it’s whether he’d want to go.
Personally think he’s happy here it’s close to home and works with a great bunch of lads.
Here’s hoping 👕😬

  1. The word “probably” features very prominently in that article - I have no idea whether they “have to” pay that back soon or whether they are able to re-finance it - do you? £50m in cash plus a £20m debtor - I would have thought we would like to be in that position regardless of what debt we have.

As for COH we signed him on a free and if we make £x millions on him so be it. There were many times few seasons when he frustrated the hell out of me and those around me and I would imagine ME and AV felt the same.

it wasn’t that long ago that I had real concerns about whether would have a team to support at all. I know things aren’t perfect but I trust MR more than I have done any other manager for a very long time.

Cullen already signed as well and in talks with Liam Delap from Citeh… Someone is lying somewhere

I’d like Delap here.
If we are going to end up selling O’Hare they better make it quick so we don’t miss out on someone like Rudoni who’s only going for £800k

Also that defender they just sold for £20m I think the reason it was so high was cause there was a big sell on fee from Stoke they had to factor in

How reliable is this account?
Saying agent is pushing move.
This is/seems to be gathering some momentum now over a few different sources.

I mean it must have been late afternoon seeing he was playing against wolves today.... Probably in the car with hamer

This reads, an offer hasn’t even been made yet - But Burnley now have money to go back in

The club could still reject an offer if they don’t see it as acceptable

i wouldn’t take what Sam Collins says too seriously, he’s a young lad from Rugby who has just done a journalism course, and whose dad is a Burnley fan.
Nice lad but wishful thinking and not in the know at all.

If he is on the phone to their manager then I assume a bid has been accepted?

Otherwise that's tapping up, isn't it?
Tapping up not really a thing anymore …. It’s understood that clubs sound players / agents out about their interest and salary expectations before they bid

Burnley are skint, just spent £4million on Scott Twine no championship experience, so they have upped the anti for any deal for O’Hare has to be double having said that no way should we sell any star name to a championship rival.
What planet do you live on? Burnley literally just sold someone for 20m.

Burnley have also just asked Man City for Liam Delap… no doubt they will win the league this year at this rate

Doesnt really make sense wanting Delap and O'Hare both are going to want to play. Hard to fully understand which rumours are fact and fiction at the moment.

We seriously cannot sell cal, he is the heart of our side, if he does go, who replaces him or do we change formation to accommodate his loss which i doubt very much.
