Then there's no helping you 😉

Or I’ve had these discussions before and concluded they’re nonsense. I’m a computer scientist by trade so know for instance that “running on 32kb” is a meaningless phrase. The onboard guidance CPU had 4kb of RAM which for the time was a huge amount, we’re not playing Halo here so not sure what you need GBs of RAM for. This is a nice article on the AGC and how advanced it was for its time:Your Smart Toaster Can’t Hold a Candle to the Apollo Computer

As for the Van Allen belt stuff, I’ll let Dr van Allen himself debunk that:

As for “no one has been [to LEO] since” I refer you to this list of human space flights, the last one I see was in April from Space X to the ISS.

I follow a page on Facebook called midlands storm chasers. Woman that runs it knows her shit

Keeping windows and curtains closed all day yesterday definitely helped.

However when I opened the windows up about 11pm so many bugs came in. There were literally hundreds in my lounge, it was disgusting. Had to go round with the handheld vacuum and hoover them all off the ceiling.

And being the fucked up creature we are we don’t even need to allow nature to do her work we start wars to ensure the food we grow is lost. We really are beyond help as a species in spite of all the wonderful good many of us are capable of

Same. Opened up the back door to get some cooler air in and it was like I was on Safari camp.

Why are you complaining?

This seems like quite a big story, do you have any more info on why the media wouldn’t report this more?

He watched Capricorn One and thought it was a documentary and OJ Simpson was really Buzz Aldrin

I'm worried about driving down Longford Road later, half the road is going to be missing.

Here's a question for you Shmmeee,
Do you believe that man walked on the moon in 1969?
Did NASA send and safely return a crew through the Van Allen radiation belts, pass straight through low earth orbit (where no one has been since) land safely, then return safely, on their first ever attempt, all with a computer system running on 32 kilobytes?
I don't believe the moon landings were faked but surely the easy way to prove it happened is to point a powerful telescope at the moon and take photos of the Lunar Excursion Module bases and various bits and pieces left behind from the various sites. Surely with the technology now available it would be straight forward.

Due to the atmosphere (convenient eh fatso??) you can’t get better detail than about 200m from Earth, so still too low res to see a lander. NASA have released photos from space, but obviously they’re part of the Illuminati so can’t be trusted.

Interesting discussion here:What is the highest resolution image of the moon taken from Earth's surface?

You can reflect lasers off some of the equipment left there.

What about the kit on its surface that measure it's distance from earth via laser beam. Increasing by 4cm per annum?

It's showing up the poor standard of the road repairs that have been done.

If it rains tomorrow there's going to be some lovely pot holes re-appearing.

Couldn’t believe it when they resurfaced my road, kept waiting for them to come back and finish, basically just dropped a load of gravel on the road and fucked off.

What I dislike is an almost celebratory reaction on the news just now that we have, officially, broken the all time temperature record !

Hurrrrraaaahhhhh. Thank God for global warming.
