How does thinking women’s football is shit make you a gammon?
It doesn't, it makes you blind. It's more the vitriol it's rebuffed with and anyone who calls someone woke is an insta-gammon.

In the 90s there was a film about a woman footballer playing for QPR men's team. I've never been able to find it online - does anyone else remember it?

What I posted was a lazy arse lame joke. I’m not sexist (or any form of ist for that matter) I just don’t take the internet seriously. I don’t have the energy to be fucking serious 24/7. All that said; I’m sorry if it caused offense.

My personal opinion is that Women’s Football is a sport on it’s own, which has it’s own merits and should be judged in it’s own right. Comparisons with the mens game seem a bit pointless as there doesn’t appear to be a plan for integration.

Yeah, bang out of order. Fair play for being a massive pussy and apologising. If women are such good cooks, why are there no women chefs? Answer me that.

I bet Nigella’s made you produce more batter than she’s made in 20 fucking cookbooks
You've obviously never watched the documentary on YouTube called 'From Nigel to Nigella' You'll soon regret all those quick cooking wanks after watching it.

Lots of shit jokes going on, and it's easy to say no offence intended after the fact. But posting shit like that creates an environment that would be off putting to lots of women, regardless of the original intent.

Yeah I'm sure its loads of womens dream to play for a mens team. The shit jokes are just in reaction to an utterly shit post. Move on, women arent suffering.

Wasn't it a BBC Screen One production or something? Saw it in passing yesterday whilst looking at something else and thought it was ahead of it's time. Wish I could remember the name, sorry.

And there was also this? Quite ahead of its time: Playing the Field - Wikipedia

More good experience on Tomlinson's CV which would one day lead to him becoming England Manager in Fiction World.

I'm sorry to be the one to break it to you, but I don't think you have to worry about that. I just really don't think you're going to find a girlfriend on this forum ?

They are literally playing football outside of the mens season and some football "fans" appear offended it's even being mentioned. Same cretins who used the term "snowflakes" ironically. I'm surprised you even get a signal in that cave of yours. Football is football. You're not forced to watch women's football anymore than you're forced to watch villa. Shut up or grow up one or the other ffs

Tonight's game had been very good. Brilliant entertainment, don't understand blokes who are football fans but refuse to watch women's matches.
ive tried watching the WSL and a few games in the euros. The standard really isn’t there. I mean don’t get me wrong I want the women to win.

I went to the Canada v Britain game in the olympics in 2012 and the standard has come on leaps and bounds, but it’s still slower and poorer than League two…

I've seen a few WSL and women's fa cup games before and I must agree it has been poor at times. I recognise this is the true elite level of the women's game but what I've seen this euros the standard has been brilliant, this game particularly.

I‘ve not watched any of these Euros anymore than I would’ve watched a league 2 playoff semifinal - for me,the standard’s just awful & I find womens football just dull

The women's game is completely different. The same way that Sunday league is different to the Premier League. I don't refuse to watch women's matches, and in the same way as Sunday league, I'm not going to actively watch the game or become invested in it because the quality is sub par. And that's not going to change. The difference in technical ability and the physical differences between men and women aren't going to suddenly evaporate.

That's fair enough, tonight's game was a really good level though. If people don't want to watch women's football that's fine, but they don't need to slag it off either (not accusing you of that).
