No deals are.

According to the ITK that’s what we wanted?

But Richard overson told a guy on twitter he had gone, I can't trust the world anymore

How are we staying solvent with no sale? Rather than the overson nonsense explain how?

If we don’t sell we kick the can until January and then sell but we sell at refined rates or hope Gyokeres hits the ground running and sell him

No not at all. I think we have an amateur CEO whose last job was a disaster we have owners who are going to get their pound of flesh either way and now we are as in 2011 rapidly running out of money

It’s no secret we wanted and believed we could offload Hamer - someone i think you rated - and no one wants him, o hare the deal upfront clearly also is a poor return.

We.have.no.money.

We are going to be in a financial muddle very quickly and remember the winter break also means no cash flow in those months

So last week our ‘amateur’ CEO was accused of flogging the crown Jewell’s for pittance, if I remember rightly you said I’d be tossing myself off when he gives our players away; or words to that effect.

Now our ‘amateur’ CEO is playing hardball, demanding high fees for our players and still he’s in the wrong?

No he’s not playing hardball he can’t sell him to pay the loan off.

He’s out his depth. He’s sanctioned pay rises in January and assumed he’d get the release clause in either contract and other clubs don’t rate them at that value. It’s getting close to a Jimmy holmes incident

We overvalued and can’t sell. We are losing £100k every week and he assumed we could make it up in a transfer

We can’t as the offers are nowhere near what he needs

Meanwhile we have a league 2 commercial set up. I tried and even spoke to Tynan Scope about sponsoring players last year and he never responded and it’s still 2019 offers on the website - promised we’d get a contact for this season. Nothing

our ticket strategy is hopeless our marketing is useless

He presents a cuddly caring face. He’s signed players like Kelly on extended deals, agreed contracts for players who will never play again as they are hopeless. We have a turnover which matches wages before other costs, a declining lease with no plans for a new stadium

Yeah I mean what’s not to like

Exactly. According to Grendel, Boddy was whoring O'Hare out to everyone on the cheap.

Yes but you were implying last week Boddy was ushering O’Hare out the door for nothing, now you’re saying he’s overvaluing. Which is it?

This is the thing for me, are clubs using our situation and lowballing us or do they just not think they’re at the level of other departed Championship players (O’Brien, Spence, Lewis-Potter etc)
More likely the former as the stupid CEO has more than once implied they'd be sold if a decent offer came in

Our losses are £5 million a year

One can only assume plan B is a sale of all 3 next summer along with a mass exodus of the driftwood and surplus to requirements.

Hamer, Gyo, O'Hare and possibly Sheaf to go for cash
McF, Hilssner, Waghorn, Walker, Kelly, Allen, Hyam and/or Rose to go for nothing or nominal amounts

Seppalla will have to wait in the knowledge that this is around the corner

Boddy was highly thought of at Newport. Turned them from a non league club into ready for League status after a long absence. I believe they were sorry to see him leave. Worcester City were already a basket case before he joined.

Can't wait to see your review this time next year after we've just spunked £100m on new players and have offered Lingard 200k/week 😉

On the flip side, if he sells at £3.5, you'd moan that he's out of his depth as he's not charged enough.

I agree that a sale needs to happen - I almost liked one of your posts above on the subject. Maybe it's a win or bust situation this season. We go up and a sale requirement disapates.

I heard City wanted the deal to be over 2 years Burnley wanted it over 4 years? But most of what is out there is guess work and speculation.

He became popular when he agreed a “brilliant club saving” 10 year lease at Rodney Parade 9 years ago - I haven’t checked in the last few months but when I last checked it was a total fuck up and they had nowhere to play from 2023

You missed the biggest mistake of all - not appointing Jackett. That Boddy fella - completely hopeless.

I mean, it's kind of risky saying he is "staying put".

Might be worth waiting until the end of the window before saying that.

Nothing to stop Burnley selling a player, getting some cash and coming back at the last minute.

exactly. The fact that the CT have said he’s staying, makes me even more worried that he will be gone by the end of tomorrow

If we have been demanding 10 million then good and until they sell Cornet they have not much more than us to spend and when they sell him which they will still don't think they will have O'Hare money then.

Do you rate Boddy?

Noticed you ignored my last question so I’ll ask another. You mentioned about his ineptitude in offering Kelly a new deal, so assume you place Robins in that same bracket as surely he would have had a say in that? Or was that all Boddy going over MR head?
