They haven't. They've won it once since WW2. Won nothing else. They were a mess in the 80s and spent years with crowds as small as our average away following last year.

We've both had exactly 34 years each in the top flight since WW2.

If you want proof what a mess their ground was in the 80's, Mark E. Smith helpfully historically documented it in a rather appropriate song for this thread since the "injury":

EDIT: you could skip to 3 mins on to see the state of the terraces, but why would you want to?

I mean @Skybluebeliever implied he’s having a scan on Monday, so as far as I’m concerned, he’s injured.
Trying to think of when he's been wrong tbf. However it also smacks of the club saying (conspiracy theory glasses on now), "say he's injured so he doesn't get injured when we're about to sell him as that would be millions down the drain". Which I do think we have a history of-Westwood sale maybe?

DISCLAIMER: I did watch "They Live" on Film4 last night, so am open to conspiracy theories now. Great film, a brilliant satire of Reagan-era Capitalism with Rowdy Roddy Piper surprisingly brilliant for a wrestler of the era. If you want to know where the giant chicken fight in Family Guy or the cripple fight in South Park come from, it's that film.

Coventry is not the 10th biggest city in the country, why do people always say that? City populations are meaningless when assessing the size of a 'place' - like the City Ground Nottingham, not being in the City of Nottingham despite being a 10 minute walk from the City centre. If you want to rank places by size, the true measure is urban area size and Coventry is 20th.

Besides, comparisons with Burnley are silly - they are a complete outlier on this measure. Do Leeds get 10 x their attendance because it has 10x the population? By this metric, Burnley are the biggest club in the country.

Burnley don't get more fans than Coventry, infact over history despite not ever reaching the top flight until 1967 , coventry have the 25th largest historical average in England and Burnley 38

Silly argument , we were 17th before sisu arrived and we had several horrendous years

Yep. Burnley have never had a higher average gate than us when we've played at the same level.

SBB may well be right, CoH could be having a scan on Monday. I'm almost sure that is part of any medical check done as part of a transfer ;) :p

Ok slipped to 11th apparently, I wasn't aware

It means nothing. Nottingham is by far bigger the bigger place - nearly double the size. It is next level stupidity to not see that and use it as a stick to beat our fanbase with.

Plus we have 2 big universities , I'd imagine a large chunk of our student population couldn't give a shit about cov
