It was said how bad it was?

It was also said why they were hopeful to get it sorted by hudds. The equipment, agreement from wasps.

The club couldn't have called all 3 games off, it isn't down to them.

No, but they could have been a bi
What could have been conveyed, that it isn't the club's decision?

Did the club say they were making a statement yesterday?

I said yesterday was streets fault but it's indicative of the situation.

I think he has bigger challenges coming up , to repair the damage to the cash flow , with 3 league games postponed and 1 league cup game , this would have made a massive dent , can see the pressure to sell intensifying

I cant.

Other than the likes of Reid Kane Walker/Waghorn

We're playing catch up and will be playing 18 games in 9 weeks.

Literally Saturday Tuesday all the way to November 21st. Will need the quality players

On top of probably by the time we play our first home game being 4/5 points from getting out the bottom 3

And the fact our players are going to be so far away from the levels needed of other clubs that haven't had this clusterfuck of a start to the season

Pretty much. Only ray of light in it is O'Hare will be about for a few more games than otherwise. We aren't relegation fodder but are starting on a handicap.

This is it

I cant see anyone else coming in for any of our top 3 now.

Hamer once again shown his shit discipline

O'Hare probably wont be fit before the end of the window

Gyok is the only one id worry about but again, whos really going to chuck the 15 million we reportedly want, other than Everton/ Southampton

Offload Reid, Kane and one of Waghorn or Walker and re evaluate budget shit in January surely?

Confirmation of it all? Confirmation if it will be done in time to have the hudds game on.

It's literally been explained why it took so long.

I can see why it took time to confirm everything, but was it too much to ask for the club to communicate what it was working on, and when they were planning to make confirmations? Or were you happy doing guesswork and watching people harass the social media guy for answers?

Meetings from 10 days ago
Could have done more sackable not for me

When did the club first raise the issue?

10 days ago is since the first game was called off. What’s the story here?

- The club had no idea of the state of the pitch and weren’t let in until just before the Rotherham game

or

- The club knew along with the rest of the world that the pitch was looking a mess and did nothing to warn fans or the EFL when getting no replies/assurances from Wasps

Because it’ll get jumped on I’ll say again that this is Wasps fault and they should be not just replacing the pitch out of their pocket but also paying significant (in the millions) compensation should we be able to peruse them for such.

But if we’re talking purely a performance review on Boddy over this there’s questions of how you don’t know there’s major issues with one of the main events of your corporate year until the day before?

Think already really this season boils down to reaching 50 points as quickly as possible then flogging the assets to the highest bidder. Key to do it in that order though. At least the months of games will be weighted in favour of home fixtures and hopefully O'Hare can make some of them.

So if they said they planned to last night but then couldn't because of wasps or the EFL hadn't confirmed?

I didn't have to guess, I just took it as trying their hardest to get the game on until told otherwise.

We might not have a choice , if we have lost virtually a whole month of income

You’re more trusting of both sides than me then! I’m surprised anyone knew what to assume.

There was nothing stopping them from a short statement earlier in the week saying “We’re doing work on the pitch, we don’t know if it’ll be ready on time, but we plan to have made a decision by Wednesday at the latest” Instead we were just left to guess.

I know some people are only able to see this issue in binary terms, but it’s not pro-Wasps or anti-Boddy or any of that bollocks to expect better from a company that’s taken loads of your money.

The only problem with getting rid of those players it will bring in no transfer fees

I think I saw something from PSB group (don't know how credible they are) saying they were organising something for wasp 1st home game but think that clashes with the brum away game and was aiming/hoping for 1000 to turn up
Neither a group nor credible

I can only go on what I can surmise from public statements and private concessions and I’m often told things for a reason

Ccfc weren’t aware of the disastrous nature of the pitch until the Thursday before the Rotherham game

Conversations about the pitch have been going on since we moved back if not as part of the conversation when coming back to cov

Something happened that meant the communication wasn’t all it should be prior to the summer and I think the main thing buddy could have done would have been to attend cwg to check things out.
I still think Vaughan saying what he did meant they rejected the idea that the pitch was unplayable but it would have brought forward the discussions and potentially the solution

All just my piecing things together of course

It wasn't assumed though, it was obvious?

Who in Coventry city football club is accountable for the ability to fulfill the clubs fixtures.

Are you going to start blaming Shakhtar’s CEO because they can’t fulfil their fixtures because they’re getting bombed? Fucking give it a rest. You talk on this forum like you’re some oracle when the reality is, we all see you as some anonymous, miserable bloke who harps on about some fantasy high position you once had which no one can call into question. You get your kicks out of putting everyone down all the time. You can’t even structure sentences properly. For someone for such a high opinion of yourself you might wanna start using correct English. I’d expect anyone in a higher position than me in business to articulate themselves far better than you do. I have not once read a message of yours that sounded genuinely positive, it’s really quite sad.

Whenever a statement comes out (regardless of whether it is from Wasps/CCFC/SISU/EFL) saying "parties are in discussion/working on something", with no substance, it is usually condemned as being a "waste of time" and "why don't they just concentrate on sorting things out and tell us when they've got some proper news".

They can't win in a situation where its obviously going to be negative news.

Several dozen pages on this thread seem to suggest otherwise but ok

Yeah, Grendel and his hatred for Boddy and blaming him for everything possible is hardly an example.

Neither are the people sat on Twitter hammering it every 2 minutes asking for an update.

Post on Wasp bondholders forum that the cost of the repair will be paid initially by CCFC and Wasps will have to repay the £180,000 or so by agreement.

Boils down to wasps hoping to get away with it because they haven’t got a pot to piss in.

Yep, was what seemed to be insinuated that would happen and by Boddy's wording it was Wasps "allowing it to be done".

I didn't realise it was £180k though if it's just a repair...

Fairly sure that's a user on here (not G though).

Whenever the next SCG meeting is, or whatever its called now, can someone ask what the plan is for next season as this seems to be patching it up to get us through this season. Sounds like it really needs ripping up and starting again but if Wasps are broke is that going to happen next summer.

Don't want to be sat here this time next year talking about home games being called off.
