This is just dripping with condescension
Ignore Grendel… last week he was talking up the virtues of Starmer and this week he’s going all in on KamiKwasi’s economic nonsense.
Truss has got his head spinning.

I thought we were talking about personal positions here? I was saying that if you had a mortgage in 1975 under the Wilson government when rates were at 22% you may have been whining about it more than the Sterling vs pound issue? No?
The average house price in the UK now is 65 times higher than it was in the 1970’s. The average wage now on the other hand is only 36 times higher.

What ever point you think you’re making it’s irrelevant. On the balance of all the facts.

I remember in the ERM when interest rates were escalating every hour getting to 16% in the end

This is tame. It will stabilise soon enough
Average house prices in 1992 were about £60k vs £300k now and there hadn't been such poor real wage growth for the preceding 15 years. I think you're underestimating what a disaster this is.

I think you rent Dave

Nah, but if I did so fucking what? I think lots of things about you and most of them can be described using the sentence "You're a Walter Mitty mate"

Anyway, if you aren't the economic illiterate everyone thinks you are then you'd also be trying to tell us how the increased prices and inflation that the current GBP/USD levels will cause are really bad news for the average person in the UK.

We already pointed out to the moron that it's not the actual rate of interest that is the issue it's the payment amount to wages ratio that is the issue.

A mortgage in 1975 even at such a high rate of interest was likely to be more serviceable than most mortgages these. Grenners has been told before it's the affordability that matters.

Not sure they’re taking this seriously now. Going to make an emergency statement, in six weeks. Almost as long as it takes to get an ambulance

sorry, make that 8 weeks!

Sufficient time for a leadership election

Surely anyone in their right mind would’ve released the two things together.

He's not pretending

I so wish I could swap my terrible existence for yours David
Were we? I thought you predicted Corbyn would cause rising interest rates and a weak pound?

well he would. Mr Johnson I do not believe did but a big dose of high interest rates would not do me harm is my only point

I would call you a repugnant human being but you don't deserve that title.

Human beings have some sense of working together as a society to make things better and compassion for others.

The country cannot benefit from its currency being so weak
Most of us here live in it

That's all there is to it

It’s weak for a few days - it’s not impacting me?

Well I mean our G does have a habit of getting the big calls wrong. I didn't think we could top it this year suggesting we let Putin crack on with it then politely ask for some land back but here we are

I notice he doesn't post in that thread anymore, I wonder why!

You’ve been the wrong side of every political vote since you could vote haven’t you surely?

Regarding Ukraine do you support another £2.5 billion on more arms for Ukraine? I’m sure many Uk people could benefit from that?

I'm afraid you are wrong again as I voted on the No side in the Scottish indyref. I support money for Ukraine far more than tax giveaways for people who don't need them
