What an awful prick

Can't wait for scumbags like this to lose their jobs

Apropos of nothing, bumped into Dave and Jane Nellist last night at the Public Service Broadcasting gig.

Would love to be a fly on the wall with those two former Labour councillors having a heart to heart in a locked room.

Jake Berry on Andrew Neil tonight.
BERRY "The pounds back at the pre budget level.
Neil "No its not I checked tonight". #
Berry "Well it's recovering.
Neil" Where's it going to be in fourteen weeks after the Bank has finished pumping in 5B a week"?.
Berry "Well I'm not a soothsayer like you are (alternative word replacing the actual one as I can't remember).

I guess we'll find out around Christmas time.
Joyeaux Noelle everyone. 😘😘

He's been really, really shit today.

Shows the lack of depth in the Parliamentary Tory Party

Just to confirm that it was a problem of their own making the pound has jumped on the back of the announcement.

So just to be clear the pound crashing and all the other things that happened of the back of that was as a direct result of government policy. It wasn’t the fault of the last Labour government, the next Labour government, the war in Ukraine, Covid, the ultra capitalists that work in the city waking up last Monday morning having converted to communism deliberately crashing the markets, the wokerarty, Harry and Megan, fuel costs, Gary Liniker or anyone else that got blamed. It was the Tories.

They’ve now ensured they have pissed EVERYONE off.

With the cut in place at least they still had the rich and the headbangers onside. Now they’ve fucked them off as well. Lovely.

Unfortunately by the time the election comes around I suspect everything will have been forgotten and they’ll get back in.

Not this time, I think they are done.

By the time the one after comes around though Labour will not have been able to fix the mess they inherited and then all blame will be put firmly at Labour's and the Tories probably get back in again. But I don’t see how they win the next one

So they've had to u-turn on their first major announcement and now can't deny that was what tanked the pound as its bounced back up when they reversed their decision.

Seems the only reason for the u-turn is that it was looking increasingly likely the backbenchers would vote it down.

What now? Truss was already hinting at 'the its all Kwarteng's fault' so does he get the push. Not sure there's a route out of this where she doesn't look pretty clueless

It's now being blamed on Chris Philp

So assuming A) they're still there by Nov 23rd and B) it doesn't get brought forward to next week. What are we going to get,a ten point VAT cut?

They'd be mad to go for an election any time soon, they may have u-turned but they have made themselves toxic and that will take him to change if it can be done at all.

Unless the idea is to try and make any defeat as manageable possible and to rebuild under say a new leader like Boris.

Compared to now he's amazing
The thing is, recently they've managed the knack of finding someone worse than the one before.

So who the fuck follows Liz Truss?!? We set for a Michael Fabricant premiership?
