Even the Mail can see she’s ballsed up

They’re obviously shitting it off the back of the latest polls. They’ve literally portrayed Truss as the country’s only hope to public enemy No.1 in a few short weeks.

According to Jake Berry any Conservative MP who votes against the budget is going to have the whip withdrawn. Are we going to see another Boris type cull prior to the 2019 GE? Is a GE going to be forced? Can’t be a wise move for the Tories in the current climate, surely. If she’s daft enough to do this then the reputation she has for being a mentalist is well earned. She’d be far better off doing an embarrassing U turn.

Ahh Jake Berry. What a cuck 🤣

His wife was Boris Johnson's office manager.

Credit Suisse about to go bust apparently. Possibly Deutsche Bank too.

Strap in folks. Going to be a bumpy ride.

There needs to be an election, they’ve had more than enough chances and pick somebody worse each time. The whole electorate needs a say now.
But they'll point out Boris' landslide. So even though they make shit picks it seems large swathes of the country will agree with it.

She’s completely changed the platform that Boris ran on though.

Let me rephrase that. She’s completely changed what was left of the platform Boris ran on Boris having changed the rest.

That's just you saying 'but the country won't do what I want anyway'. Which is irrelevant, the country never does what the people in this thread want. BSB is saying they should now have the option to do so again, or not. I agree with him.

Liz Truss should put her vision for the country, to the country. So can Starmer and then people can choose between the quite different economic plans on offer. The other day he said 'country before party', I wonder how many Tory MPs who presumably claim to be patriotic would act in a way that reflects that.

No MP on either side would

I agree with him too - the people should decide. Not going to happen now she's fucked her new leader bounce within a week.

Point I was making was BSB said they make shit picks but fact is the last one they picked won a landslide in an election, so the people did actually get to decide and agreed with them. May didn't get a majority but did have more seats than any other party. So those members would argue that they don't make bad decisions because when given a vote the people to some extent or another agrees with them.

However, I think that would change quite dramatically right now...

By that I meant more incompetent as PM

The last 2 elections have been heavily influenced by Brexit - now we are beyond it (and see the outcomes of it to a certain extent) then maybe we will see a big shift in peoples thinking. You’ll never budge that entrenched groupings on both sides… the floating voter will be kingmakers.

Gor Blimey , they may vote on it next year.
Might have waited till next April then with the actual budget.
Are they saying it will be in place from now but voted then or it can't be implimented until the vote?
According to BBC evening news.
