Becky Gittins is quite the wombat.

Wanted to ban someone from the council for having a differing view to her.

Quite far out there on the ledge.

Not quite as mad and bad as some present and former councillors, but definitely on the watch-list of; 'you don't really have any clue in what you're doing'.

What I find really strange is the game of rugby has traditionally been the sport of the public schooled "toffs" and something more aligned to the Conservatives. Whilst football is/was the game of the working people and much closer to the Labour party.

So why the Coventry Labour group [supported at the time by the Conservatives] chose to support Wasps [foreign registered Hedge fund] is bizarre. As opposed to supporting the CCFC [foreign registered Hedge Fund].

These are strange times......only 2 more Conservative Chancellors before Christmas?
There are people at the top (elected and non-elected) that have a genuine hatred/dislike of CCFC ownership. They have openly admitted in the past that certain actions / instances were designed to "encourage" a change of CCFC ownership.
Wasps were a convenience. could have been a megarich badminton team or hockey team - anyone who could pay bar CCFC.

people should bombard reeves twitter feed to just give him a taste of tbe strength of feeling
Always amazes me that with all the things that have gone on at the council during his time, not particularly CCFC / Wasps related there's been some far more serious things, nothing ever seems to come back on him. He keeps bumbling along fucking things up collecting a huge pay cheque.

Local News is poorer for him not being here.

You don't always have to agree with whatever people say. No matter where you report, in the public or private sector, your analysis has always a personal bias. There is no escaping this.

Shugs in dramatic Liz Truss U Turn

Has someone hacked his account? If only someone had pointed out they were being told a pack of lies constantly.

The best one I've seen in the last couple of days is they couldn't ground share with Brentford as the Met wouldn't allow them to move back to London. Personally I have my doubts that the number of police needed for a Wasps game would cause policing in London collapse.

He’s ran out of people to blame, finally accepted they’ve been shafted

As I mentioned earlier...
That horrible 'City of Rugby' thing which exposes some of those on the left (I am one btw) as aspiring to be the very things they profess to despise. I hate that kind of snobbery in working class folk.

Missed all of today's shenanigans, but it's looking positive Wasps are gone and CCC opening channels with City?

Are we in a parrallel universe?

Am i that steaming im seeing things?

Or maybe just maybe, has the complete backlash today amongst the tide of opinion across coventry towards the nomadic slint fuckers made the tossers at the council realise by getting into bed with CCFC they can right some wrongs?

A Friday night statement out of nowhere about a "challenging situation" doesn't exactly fill me with confidence about the weeks ahead
I think there's a couple of issues in the short term. The administrator will want to keep events running to generate income and increase the chance of selling as a going concern but where does that money to fund that come from? After the pitch debacle it will be a while before we're due to make another rent payment, I'd imagine the payments for most of the forthcoming events in the hall have been paid in advance and blown by Wasps. A potential role there for the council as the freeholder.

The other is how quickly an administrator has everything in place. We've had enough games postponed, we don't need any more.

I know it's probably been said 1000 times but where does the stadium go in admin and if back to council does that mean the liability for the bonds passes to them?
