There were rumours quite a while back that cracks had been appearing and structural engineers called in. Was denied at first by Wasps who then changed the story to they've been checked and they're fine but given their relationship with the truth who knows.

But £20m in repairs for a stadium that's still relatively new would be very poor even if there has been virtually no maintenance since day one.
Let’s be like the wasps fans… and blame someone else!

fucking Leicester fans and their buried shirt

Story was that concerns were raised last time stadium was valued for bond purposes. But obviously Wasps couldn't afford to have stadium value decreased.

Don't forget the gypsies.
I visited their site on a number of occasions and spoke with the elders and was privy to some frank discussions as to why there was a long delay in demolishing the gas holder and commencing the construction of Arena 2000.
Let's say they were less than complimentary towards our owners at the time and CCC and I had to concede they had a point.
The Project cursed..........quite probably in my opinion.

I wouldn't know about the box area, being only a standard ST holder, not an exclusive platinum priority one. hahahahahha

Nor me I sit in block 20 but I went over there for my dads birthday last year, I hate it in there but we had most of his grandkids there. I hadn’t been over there for a few years and it had got tatty and very dated.

Another genuine question and I'm going to sound naive or thick but as leaseholders are they responsible for the repairs or should CCC as the freeholder be doing this? Apologies but I'm confused between owner, lease holder, tennant, CCC, Wasps, ACL, ACL11,000,000,000 etc.

I would imagine that is the London side could have got the council to pay for any part of it they would have done already and you could imagine a bit extra on the top to cover theirs. They have never held back when asking for anything since they have been here.

The corporate side was dated when it was built. We had a box for 2/3 years. That carpet in the lounge is awful.

The level of hospitality from Highfield road too Ricoh was a massive drop. Food and drink increased but quality dropped.

At that rate the administrator is going to have to pay someone to take it over. 😂
Joy when she hears this…

I never used the posh seats at hr, but have done it a few other places spurs villa Huddersfield and Burnley and all were a better experience than the cbs, I did go in the players lounge at Morecombe when we played there and that was a dump.

You would think if someone had a lease for 250 years, then the repairs would be up to them. If it wasn't such a long time frame, then it should be up to landlords.

I think nearly everything they did at the Arena was doomed to failure.

admittedly the boxes in HR in the final few years were tatty and falling apart.

But the staff made the place. Something that was lost at the Ricoh. I was only young then but have fond memories.

Also the box entrances was by the players and away coach. So met some big names.

Depends whats in the lease, but you’d expect so. For a start the arena wouldn’t be expected to last 250 years regardless of any faults.

I remember people on the site quite a long time ago saying it was up SISU to do their due diligence when they bought the club.

The same can be argued about London Wasps with the Arena.

Meanwhile, CCC showing their own due diligence by paying £48M to buy and upgrade a recycling firm.

Your local council tax folks and/or any cuts to local services.

This is again what Ann Lucas forced through in the WMCA devolution deal, and she had the cheek to say a local referendum on CCC doing stuff like this was 'populist'.

The entitlement continues.

Leicester tigers have offered free tickets to wasps staff and season tickets. this is the response.....

"Tigers can get stuffed. How about help where they can to get the club back up and running rather than feasting on the remains for fans and players"

"
They have already been canvassing Wasps' club and player sponsors as well this week!

Shocking behaviour from a "fellow" Premiership Rugby Club in times like this for Wasps Fans - exactly why I have always hated them as a club back from the 90's.

Why on earth would a true Wasps Fan want to go and watch Tigers?

If that's their attitude, I hope they enjoy the lost revenue coming their way from no home games for the next few weeks!!"

To be fair imagine if we ceased to exist and Leicester City pop up doing this.

there’s a geezer called “Andy John” he really doesn’t have a clue does he. Anything on social media he trots out the bbc article “SISU found to have seriously mismanaged the club”

It was generally the place business folk or individual went if they needed a fix of Prem Rugby before they got here .

This from the same supporters who claimed it was fine to leave behind supporters in London & Wycombe because they could just go and watch another club.
