So are wasps going to fck off back to London with this takeover? Or are we going to have to put up with them for the forseeable?

Legally speaking am I right in thinking whoever gets the lease our 10 year agreement gets honoured?

If so whatever happens we are no worse off .

Totally unlike me but I am fairly heartened by SISUs silence in recent weeks. I feel like something may be happening behind the curtains.on recent form I'd have expected some catty comments in the press putting the boot in to Wasps and the council.

Tune in tomorrow to find out......

The consortium are getting money together to pay for ex coaches, staff etc.. not to fund a massive concrete bowl. They will form back in a London borough, especially as most are saying ABC “anywhere but Coventry”… well fuck off, we never wanted You in the first place, and don’t disrespect where you have been for the past 8 or so years, hence the reason for my strong response. Only one Percy to blame here and that is Derek Richardson but still some can’t see it. 🖕🏻

Not buying that. Seeing as the Wasps experiment has shown we are the ONLY viable long-term tennant I very much doubt whoever gets the lease won't see us as a vital part of the business

Assumes the buyer wants to keep the football pitch part of the complex. If they are the buyers, NEC Group aren’t much into sport are they? Unless it’s a one off Harlem Globetrotters or boxing type of thing. What’s to stop them knocking down the stands and creating more exhibition/indoor event space? Especially if that is where a good bit of the supposed maintenance backlog is stacking up.

Apologies for a comparison that maybe not everyone will get, but if anyone has seen Prison Break, Wasps just remind me of 'The Company'. They just won't fucking die, and whenever you think you have defeated them you end up going round another corner where you find all your broke off was a finger to a much bigger hand. Richardson is like The General; so drunk on power that he just wants to keep going to spite everyone else, even when he has lost. The Council are effectively the grass that those snakes hide in and it just never ends. I can still see the latter fucking us over if the decision comes to them, because so many corrupt councillor's also have bruised egos that they won't let go of.

SISU are holding all the cards right now, the problem is, I am not sure they are serious enough to use them. Tomorrow is a big day. Let's all hope for the best. I just really want us to get out of this shit and be able to breathe for five minutes. Fingers crossed that can be the case.

That is pretty farfetched. I really can't imagine (even) CCC being able to square to the voters, selling the stadium built for the football club to a developer who want to level it and make us homeless

Won’t be able to.

Covenants in the head lease will stipulate must be available to be used for football (or something similarly worded).

I see us more as Muttley in the Wacky Races, driven around by a dick who always plays foul but never wins. And probably also wears a long purple coat.

"so many currupt Councilors" sounds a bit libelous to me have you got proof might need it."SISU holding all the cards".Takes me back to 2014 when they thought they did then.

Well that’s a necessity - season tickets need refunding and that’s the easiest way

Technically it's not theirs, of course. It would be funny if the new owners of Wasps decided they didn't want to use it, but in reality I'd guess the slimy bastards that stole it from the local community would just sell it for housing anyway and still profit.

Stinks, as with most Wasps related deals...
Don't think they'd sell it, if they end up playing back at the cbs they'll use it
