Do wonder how much of that is killed at birth by silly demands. The assumption has always been because they want the stadium, guess we’re about to find out. The if we were openly up for sale we’d see some serious bidders emerge.

They really should be putting the word out before stadium goes elsewhere. I’ve said before I really think this is their best hope of getting a decent deal

I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that SISU have seemingly only stuck around for all this time because they felt they had a case against Wasps/CCC or that they genuinely believed one day they’d get a stake in the ground - For them to potentially chicken out when they are finally being presented with an opportunity to do so

I don’t get what they are up to, you’d hope they are working night and day to strike a deal to take ACL on

Do you have any proof they’re not?

Really? Is that the price you put on the future of the club.

Well I’m not responsible for running the club’s finances. I supported the club by buying a season ticket in exchange for a ticket to home games in Coventry. If they can no longer offer me that, then give me my refund and I’ll see if I can make it to Walsall/Northampton/Brum/Burton etc.

I assume you’ll be on the phone first thing Monday morning to donate whatever you can afford to sort out this HMRC issue? The future of the club is at stake!

I forget which entities gave got what assets and liabilities/obligations. If its holdings that are a party to the ACL lease and they avoid insolvency, then I agree, they might well have ongoing obligations to ACL. However, if ACL go into administration or liquidation there might be an insolvency clause in the lease which means the lease could be terminated anyway

It’s so hard to comment on stuff without having all the info. Just a bit of guesswork really

Ps that’s why I try not to get too worked up about stuff yet and just letting it play out really.

Totally agree, I think they are damned if they do, and damned if they don't. It is definitely leverage though for ACL to reclaim money back if they get tied up with bondholders debt imo.

It reads like pay up or its curtains for the rugby club.

I won’t be asking for a refund myself. But how many times are we going to hear about the future of the club being at risk. If people want refunds they can get their refunds. We’ve got owners with money. Fucking use it or fuck off.
Don’t disagree. However, I wouldn‘t want a refund playing some part in the demise of the club, rightly or wrongly. That’s the way I see it. I totally get the club’s owners have money but they don’t have the priceless emotional investment, do they?

I think Championship football club + stadium would attract a lot of interest. League 1 club back to having no chance of the stadium is what we had for most of the last decade.

So surely they'll at least make an effort.

We’ve got inflation at 10%, record energy prices and mortgage rates heading through the roof - I’m not going to blame a working bloke for getting a refund for something they’ve bought rather than let an incompetent hedge fund keep it. Bullshit to suggest someone’s less of a fan for doing so either.

No, won’t be doing that; like you, I have a season ticket, but won’t be chasing them for my money back.

Don’t really need the lecture, but hope you get your money back.

I don’t understand why you are sticking laughing emojis as if this is a game

it’s a sign of cash flow distress over what is i would hope a relatively low level of debt.

if the next 3 games aren’t played at home I assume ticketmaster still pay the club but I think customers are entitled to refund so could be 39,000 refunds and the cost of moving games

There are 3 payments still to make on I assume a quarterly PAYE return (?) with another due early new year

It can be “sorted” by selling another asset to pay for it. That’s what will happen

Not exactly hilarious is it

They could stop paying ACL debts?

Can't even remember why it's my cat, I'm sure it came off the back of a weird argument. I'd like to attempt to reclaim some credibility by being one of the few to have put up a picture of themselves, but I'll let the jury decide my fate.
