I can't see the Russians thinking "right now is the time to finally attack Nato, Yuri what was the name of that village of 700 people again? Let's aim for there"

If anything sums up this fucking shithole of a world we currently live in, Russia attacking Poland and potentially starting World War 3 is trending lower than Taylor Swift fans that are mad Ticketmaster won't let them buy presale.

With their dodgy equipment probably

Never underestimate their lack of competence or level of drunkenness either.

I'd be surprised if it was an intentional attack on Poland, it's very close to the border, but you can never be sure if it's Putin stirring the pot though.

Not a good outcome for Russia either way imho, it'll just strengthen NATO resolve and likely lead to even more support for Ukraine in terms of weapons and finance.

Whatever the short-term impact the long-term outcome will be increased military spending by European NATO members and Sweden & Finland will definitely complete their membership.
Short-term will include a strengthening of their resolve to push Russia out of Ukraine.
Even conservative media ( that are naturally anti-ukraine) here are alarmed by bombing of NATO territory - intentional or accidental.

How long have we all got left then? Transfer window?
I can just see Jim White outside the Kremlin.

"And I'm hearing that Iskander is on it's way from Moscow to Przewodów. That's going to be an unpopular move that's going to upset a lot of people on both sides. The Russians are going ballistic!"

While at the same time a load of pissed up Russian generals try and shove a dildo in his ear.

Something I've read, thought it was interesting, but probably just a weird coincidence.

Polish strike may have been a Russian typo hitting 50.47719 23.96488 rather than 50.37719 23.96488 which is an airstrip.

Seen unnamed US officials saying it was Russia and one’s saying it was Ukraine AA, within hours of each other. Wait and see until someone puts a name on it I guess. In many ways hope it was Ukraine cos that cams things down globally. Seems the A4 meeting has been cancelled which is good.

Glad to see the Polish and USA response is cautious. Whoever fired it, whether Ukraine or Russia, it seems to be a mistake. However, if it's Russian then I doubt they'll apologise.

What it's really means is that Ukraine is entitled to have adequate air defence provided for all of its endeavours on others as well as it's own behalf.
It's pretty scandalous to me that it's being allowed for them suffer huge infrastructure destruction in a Turkey shoot.

Moldova lost power because of it as well.

On a serious note , total conspiracy.

Ukraine knows the winter will be hard to get through without massive reinforcements and backup, what about the possibility of Ukraine firing into poland to make it look like Russia to get even more NATO support or potentially full military intervention ? Probably not but wouldn't say no

Weirdly it seems to be the US saying “winter is a good time for a break and maybe negotiations” and Ukraine saying “fuck that noise on we go!” How much of that is for local morale and how much is serious I don’t know. But Ukraine have had a lot of winter kit donated and the Russians are all over telegram complaining they’re sleeping in paper bags and wearing t-shirts so who knows.

As a human being, I want to see it ended. I don't blame the Russian conscripts for their plight and don't want to see them suffer through a harsh winter.

But realistically the people we need to be concerned about are those higher up. Putin would not take a break in fighting as a ceasefire. He'd just be preparing troops and equipment ready to push again, the Ukrainians will end up back under fire and ultimately even more people will suffer and die.

Putin is the kind of person who only responds to strength and while the Ukrainians have the advantage they have to press it home. The more Russia suffers the sooner the Russian people will lose faith in Putin and he can be toppled.

Ukraine are far more equipped than Russia at dealing with the winter, I even bet Ukraine has more trained personal than the russian army now excluding Wagner ect, russian army has completely been dissolved, won’t be long before someone makes a move on putin.

Would hope not but honestly wouldn't be surprised if it did happen.

You can’t really blame them, this happened in the middle of missles raining down on them. Whether it was Russia directly or one of Ukraines own missiles trying to protect themselves from the Russian bombardment, it stems from Russia so it’s on them

Fair play to NATO and international community though. Puts to bed the conspiracy theorists suggesting it’s NATO/West trying to escalate things with misinformation.

Just makes me worry, what lengths both side would go to, to win or gain the upper hand in this war.
