I can’t remember a time when we’ve been able to replace two players like Saka and Foden with such quality as Rashford and Grealish. Our strength in depth in those positions is frightening!

My point is some people find it very hard to acceot that Southgate's record is better than all of them, and have a somewhat arrogant assumption that we can steamroller past other world class sides. We haven't done that since the 1930s!

A manager will never get every call right but, we've had complaints Rashford plays - two goals. Then we get complaints Rashford doesn't play(!) and Saka has a goal. Complaints Henderson plays - opening goal. His decision making looks pretty good really.

And yeah, at some point we'll lose a game, and it'll be pointed at as justification that we woz right all along. Bobby Robson's one of the best managers in my lifetime, IMHO, but he couldn't even qualify for one tournament!
