I wouldn't worry about the change of use rumours. If true, they could have been put in place as a contingency. If CCFC ever ceased to exist, or decided to build their own ground at Warwick (😅 ) the whole arena would be a massive white elephant otherwise. It could have been done purely to make the ground more attractive to potential bidders. There is no evidence MR was involved in this.
Fucking hell, if Robins is trying to turn our ground into a fucking warehouse, then maybe Grendel was right all along!

I was about to buy a half season ticket. Not any more.
I can only assume Ashley has a plan to put in place something to actually buy the club on the cheap but until then I'm keeping my money in the bank.

That would be a turn up if Robins was going to build something there.

Edit, too slow.

Need the EFL to make it hard for us to move , sisu can't be given any more chances

This fanbase can't handle another move anyway .. sisu need to go

The permitted development rights for the Arena area have not been changed so can we stop spouting bollocks about the Ricoh being flattened.
Agreed. It will surely remain a football stadium so that being so I'm cautiously hopeful.

"Wasps had identified major issues at the stadium meaning it needed (at Least £20m) spending on it. That is why he got it so cheap"

What's the problem with your ground
Wasps identified translates to Wasps failed to perform even the most basic maintenance while they were there.

I have zero information NW but I do find it interesting that the club haven't issued any statement so far....and I can't see any logic whatsoever in Fraser's buying a stadium and then promptly evicting a long established Football club.
SISU never issue statements in the main though, they only did when they wanted to try and influence public opinion. No need to here is there, as nobody apart from true mentalists would be thinking good move, I always fancied ticking Walsall off in my home grounds list.

Whoever said about the payment for the pitch not meaning a discount on the rent had it right, I think, and I suspect SISU have been arguing they needed to get that back by not paying some of it, while Frasers are saying tough, a deal's a deal, and that's what happens in administrations and insolvencies.

Only problem is now if Ashley gets the Club NOPM can continue with a new excuse 😂😂

To actually change its use you need it to be public record though - you can't just do it with nobody noticing.

And you have to ask yourself what benefit that would bring to anybody. Even Brandon gets protests, and the local council being steadfast in not changing use, because local residents don't want it changed.

So who would change of use benefit? It'd be very public dirty linen washing, and that wouldn't help Ashley's businesses, or Duggins's future election prospects. If Ashley were in a different business, I could see how his companies might shrug it off. Really can't see how it would benefit him in the slightest, though.

I can't see the benefit of the council continuing fuckingover the football club or a hedgefund holding on to an asset which seems to give them nothing in return but it happens!
That's why I'm not discounting anything however unlikely.

Newcastle online forum all full of support for our club and full of hate for Ashley as you can imagine. They really can't stand him to a degree that we may well come to appreciate..

As Keiran Maguire says on his podcast, there should be an independent regulator in football that would stop this happening. Ashley should not have been allowed to buy the stadium if there was even the slightest chance the club could be stopped from playing there.

Personally think ashley owning the club was always the eventuality , some did say he'd do anything to get it ..

I guess what's happened here is he's not happy that sisu tried to play hard ball with the doug king shite ..

I guess unfortunately for us , it's business .

Surprised we have not heard anything from the club or our lord and savour Doug
I mentioned earlier I'm surprised the club haven't issued a statement,re Doug King he now has a get out of jail free card, I'm also expecting Andy Street to say something soon.
Fingers crossed we will be ok.

And finally

We've been through it all before , we've put up with this kind of petulance for 15 years , there's no other fanbase of a club this size that can relate , we have extremely thick skin ..

We will as always, carry on and keep supporting CCFC and hope for the best

What we've been through would have finished many clubs and fanbases

When fans of other clubs wonder why our fans are absolutely bonkers .. this , this is why 😉

That wouldn't be the football regulator though, that would be down to the council.

Ideally, no club would be able to play in the EFL or PL if the club doesn't own the stadium. The only issue is enforcing it now so many clubs don't own their own stadium.

That ship sailed the moment the council sold the leasehold to a private entity in 2014
