We have no choice but to support Ashley getting the club now really. He's cornered SISU, they have nowhere to run, they need to fuck off. c**t or not, the bloke who owns the stadium getting the club is best case scenario.

I'm still team Doug. I fancy a bit of an unknown quantity, who turns out to live in a bedsit in Southwold or something.

Can anyone tell me what is to be gained for Ashley by buying the football club other than getting his businesses emblazoned on our shirts and selling the club plus stadium as one in the future which would be more attractive than the current mess ?
Because otherwise I haven't a clue. Honest.

The club and the ground belong together ADM, like Yin and Yang, or quantumly entangled particles, always cosmically intertwined and yearning for each other which will release great power when they finally combine.

Ashley is someone who recognises the best way to get his brand maximum exposure is to blaze it in the premier league.

I’d guess he’d spend enough money to get us promoted - but don’t expect anything past 17th…. Something that ultimately we as a fanbase would be delighted with

Would be delighted with for a year or two until it wasn't enough and we start demanding more.

I dunno - we’re a downtrodden fanbase. We’ve rarely trouble the top half of the top flight. I think it would be a fair few years before we get annoyed.

I also think Ashley would look to sell whilst in the prem, some idiot would pay him top whack for us in the prem with a ground

If we're in a relegation battle after 2 or 3 seasons people will be moaning like fuck, I guarantee it.

Ashley is someone who already bought a Premier League club and then proceeded to take them into the Championship on two separate occasions - I’m not sure he’s that fussed about league positions.

Sure I read somewhere that parachute payments were being restructured/reduced (can't exactly remember what how) ...be just our luck that after an unbelievable promotion, when we are relegated will be the season they stop!!

Would be ironic in those circumstances.

Bit like the digital deal collapsing when we first got relegated to the Championship
