Would be a shame but a farcical situation at the moment (one of many at CCFC)

Guess the club needs to keep options open.

If we go back to template Nike that will be the end of the club !

What is interesting is that they are still operating from the arena.

I thought we’d been evicted and all staff had to hand in their keys and access cards?

You would think Hummel would be wanting to get another UK distributer anyway?

Yep. Put that in the eviction thread.

I thought they meant Hummel as the kit suppliers to be fair

Glad to keep them if so, other than the lazy attempt of an away shirt last season they haven’t made a kit I’m not fond of yet

Made a few nice kits, but they are made of tracing paper. That’s more than enough remakes of retro ones now, and I’ve had enough of 29 kits a year. But mainly, they are fucking horrible to wear and feel like they are going to disintegrate.

So all in all not arsed. I’d choose adidas kits personally, anything but Nike really.

Yeah, especially the black goalie top. It's like a bin bag.

The quality of the kits are absolutely fine if you are in shape… I’m towards the other end of the scale unfortunately. But do love the designs…. Imagine a Lonsdale one… I think that would break me!! And I loved that brand in 1982.

I think a call to Toffs (I think they are U.K. made?) or whoever is in order. CCFC need product to sell right now and if there’s a way to get round any Hummel exclusivity (lot of it about) then they need to. How long does it take to put a batch or shirts through the mill?

I wonder what Boyle Sports stance is in not getting their logo out there?

CCFC must be losing out on loads of last-minute shirt sales.

Designs are good and I've lost weight so I'm okay in them. But sometimes the hummel ones get very static and it makes them uncomfortable at times. Unless its me!

Fear it will be more complicated than that. There's rules around how many shirt designs you can have in a season I believe so we can't just go off and quickly knock up something new, and even if we could that's a process that normally takes months from the point they start work on it to the point the players are wearing the kit and its in the shop.

The other option is knock of hummels but there's sure to be copyright issues there.

Thing the options will be re-open retail but with no kits for sale until existing stock can be retrieved or move to another company who have a Hummel license, problem there being Elite Sports had the exclusive UK license, well unless you're a club the size of Everton who seem to deal direct with Hummel / Fanatics. Although if you think there's problems with the shop as it was just wait and see how bad the service is if we end up with Fanatics.

I’m in top condition. They are carrier bags. And not the bag for life ones. The cheap ones.

And speaking exclusively to CoventryLive, City’s chief executive Dave Boddy confirmed: “It’s unlikely that we will be able to continue to wear the Hummel brand beyond this season.

“We are very disappointed because they have been a massive selling point for us, the Hummel look, the chevrons and everything.

“We are really disappointed with the turn of events. Our retail operation since linking with the Hummel brand has increased beyond our wildest dreams. Our net income has gone up four fold. The club and Hummel have grown the brand together and we’re hugely disappointed that the partnership is to end.

I might be thick but I really can't see why we have to drop Hummel because of this. They're saying they won't work with Hummel in Denmark, but clubs like Northampton and Oldham use Hummel and i'm sure they will be, why aren't we?

Bit odd that Hummel wouldn't look to get a new UK licensee to replace Elite Sports. Back to shitty template kits it is then.

Conspiracy Hat

That has been said to try and get Hummel to hurry up and get something sorted in the UK.

Gutted. One of the positives from recent years.

Really is gonna be tough to see the shite we get from something like Puma or Adidas. Template rubbish.

Really don’t get this. Surely Hummel aren’t breaking ties with all U.K. clubs so why can’t we do whatever everyone else is doing?

not sure anyone else is doing much. Everton deal direct with Hummel not Elite Sports so doesn't impact them. A couple of clubs, such as Southampton, seem to have managed to get the administrator to release existing stock and a couple of others, such as Oldham have open cash only club shops with fuck all stock

my biggest criticism at the moment would be how have other clubs managed to speak to the administrator and get stock released and we haven't. could be that they've had to make a payment to the administrator and we can't / won't do that while in the middle of a takeover. or could just be our usual level of incompetence
