Wasn't there - we nearly always lose to this lot, so I'd have taken a point beforehand all day long. Obviously the way it panned out, it feels poor, but by all accounts we were excellent for most of the game. Missed this, due to watching my wife sing in a church colder than the CBS. Sneaked a look at the half time score, and would still have taken the draw then, pessimist that I am. Baggies will be really tough, but I love our team - and do we now have the leading scorer in the league?

Or it will be the kick up the arse the team needs to push on and clinch the title!

My point is, it’s meaningless and kinda silly to say such things.

kick up the arse? It was similar to Millwall but 80% worse and looked what happened after that game.

being 3-0 up with 20 mins left and to draw is not good for morale especially with a young team. Now we have 2 teams coming up on the up. This season could be over as a result of that shocking 20 minute spell.

Or maybe we tear in to them because we're pissed off.
To extrapolate what's going to happen in a whole season based on one result is madness, be it a shit result or a great one.

Just name 1 less sub then. Or stick a kid on bench then.

But you wouldn't throw a kid on would you if your backs were against the wall. A not fully fit senior player is going to be a better bet if it's a last resort you would have thought.

Well just back from the game in a bit of shock.
Thing is you could see it coming.
Gutted.

results and key moments impact seasons. The World Cup break has impacted our season. Look at what happened after Millwall and the run we went on after being 2-0 up there. We have a young team. That 20 minute could scar them for many games to come.

What a kick in the teeth last 25mins we’re. Unbelievable that we didn’t see that out…gave up possession so easily, lost out in every 50/50 and didn’t compete for second ball. I suspect Swansea disappointed they didn’t nick all three points.
Cruising and looking superb on break to looking like frightened schoolboys.

He was never going to put him on the pitch, therefore pointless having him on the bench. He's had Reid and Howley on the bench at times this season.

I think everyone is fuming with the result today and the manner of the draw. But to say Robins can’t game manage when we’ve won 7 of our last 11 games is ridiculous against some decent sides aswell. I’m not saying he got everything right today but clearly his options from the bench are limited and are carrying knocks or not match fit.

I think today says a lot more about our squad depth that it isn’t anywhere near where it should be. To lose fadz is a massive blow and it feels like there’s no other leader that can come in at centre back.

I think we could do with some defensive signings in jan along with a striker on loan in case we lose vik to injury (assuming he’s not sold) and that will see us through. Then build a squad in the summer that’s more capable of a sustained promotion challenge.

He had no idea what to do when they changed it up.

It could, or it could give them some resolve to make sure it doesn't happen again, we simply don't know.

One thing that does come to the forefront is the amount of deadwood we have in this squad.

Kane, Kelly, Waghorn and Walker all taking up valuable wages. 30k a week of wages wasted on them alone.

Agree. Why Kelly was on the bench, let alone the pitch, is a mystery.

Stayed on the front foot.
With the subsitutes we had on offer? He stays on the front foot and we get the same result he would be crucified even more for not trying to defend a lead. It’s easy in hindsight to say should have done this should have done that. He’s also got plenty right this season to win games.
As I said he’s not perfect and we should have won today but it’s not just robins fault. To say he can’t game manage mental.

I'm still in shock.

Can't think of a worse 16 minutes watching City!

With all the players getting tired? If he stays attacking and the same thing happened he gets crucified prob even more so for not trying to defend a 3 goal lead.

We should be capable of defending at 3 goals up

You try to keep doing what works. Euros final last year is the textbook example-when you have the opponent on the ropes, don't give him a pressure free way back in.

Shell shocked still. We didn’t fluke a 3-0 lead, we were excellent. Perfect tactics from Robins, nick the ball and flow forward. Swansea are a good side, you could see that (unlike QPR for example), but the way the game changed was startling. For me Robins should have brought on Palmer, Kelly and Dabo on after the 3rd went in. Instead he did nothing and by the time Kelly came on it was 3-2 and we’d lost our heads. Also we have a game on Wednesday, why not freshen things up on the hour. Thought Kelly looked decent when he came on. Kane was shocking. Why no Palmer? Knew this would be a hard game, and we got a point, but that last 20-25 mins will have damaged morale. And we STILL could have won it!

We weren’t 3-0 up in the euros and he went defensive as soon as Shaw scored. We basically tried to defend a 3 goal lead with 20 or so mins to go. That’s something we should be capable of and I’m sure many managers would have done the same.

It's more the fact that we could all see the momentum had shifted after their changes. We needed to respond to them and didn't. If he'd made changes at a time we were on top and that had happened then yes, he'd be getting criticism for doing so. But to do practically nothing when the game has clearly shifted against you is worthy of criticism too. Especially when you've got a 3 goal buffer with which to respond.

We could all see the problem was that we were inviting them onto us being defensive so altering that with an attacking player who they;d have to worry about on the breakaway and so would force them back a bit or an AM that could help us get the ball up the pitch.

Instead we took off an AM for an ageing, injury prone DM and exacerbated the problem.

Yep 3-1 perfectly legitimate to play to win 3-1. Not perfectly acceptable to not manage it of course

Not quite he did so at half time. When we conceded twice in quick succession that should have triggered a rethink-instead we doubled down and brought on someone crocked to hold the fort.
