I’m struggling to find Moore at fault apart from the cross/shot

the ranting on this thread today has been embarrassing

people genuinely want robins out which is ridiculous
I don't think many are saying Robins should go, or certainly no one sensible. But he got it very wrong today.

Honestly, this is simply a horrendous take.

It's statistically true that the only win from 7 games in all comps was a last minute penalty?

I, and others keep saying it, if Robins can keep us up with the side he did first season back he can do it with this lot.
Might have to revert to some of the shit football we put up with that season.

There was a lot of players in that squad that were below the level that season but there were a lot more senior pros than this season.

Dare I say it, this is a stronger 11 than the one we currently have. Dabo obviously fitter back then and O'Hare not inured. Worth remembering Ostigard was also out for this match.

The team MR put out was more than good enough to win the game - at least on paper.

If you want to point fingers, you’d ask if in reality it was; Dabo didn’t look fit, Moore looked significantly under confident and Panzo uncomfortable at CB. These are all things he should know seeing the players day in/day out.

Second issue is subs, but that really isn’t new. Annoying thing about today is made earlier and we would have at least drawn as we were creating more and more, so the likelihood is one would have gone in.

However, the players have to take the bulk. They are literally leagues ahead and the last 20/30 minutes evidences they could do it, but for whatever reason decided not to turn up.

Fucking sick of , we should have had enough……get real , we are so fragile beyond our better players. Robins knows that but sacrificed the competition …. We are now down to the League with a squad that is bang average and injury prone.
Im really disappointed , it shows I know !

Just on the bus back, can I just thank you for a fantastic day. Met a few of your fans before the game and thought you were very welcoming and a great bunch.

Obviously delighted we won. I'm not sure we played that great to be honest. After 60 mins, I felt fairly comfortable, then you absolutely hammered us.
The key was you couldn't defend our set plays even in the National League I ain't seen a team struggle so much.

We started the game with 4 regulars missing, which was a massive surprise as i thought we would have played our best 11. Your 2nd goal gave you a massive lift after Macfadzean fecked about again. He's only playing because of injury but my god he was terrible, then you absolutely trounced us even with 10 men. I thought we were fit but it just shows the difference in standard between NL and Championship.

We just couldn't deal with Gyökeres, I seriously hope he can fire you the PL, he was an absolute nightmare to play against.

All the best!
Fair play. You're fans were brilliant. Not like Cardiff and Swansea twats with their French flags!

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Just home - Still fucked off with that, the whole attitude of that performance absolutely stunk, I’d have felt bad nicking a replay at the end as it would have been the biggest get out of jail free card ever

I’ve been patient with Waggy, more than most but I can’t carry on any longer - waiting A year and a half for a player picking up reportedly as much as he is to come good isn’t good enough, not knocking his effort and no doubts he has and remains to be a good pro, but not good enough

Kelly has been a magnificent servant to the club and should be welcomed back any time he wants when he leaves, but he’s finished here

Dabo’s downfall is just sad if anything, I can’t quite recall a player ever being so unplayable for us and tailing off as much as him

Out of the starting 11 today - only Palmer, Burroughs, Sheaf and Rose I’d be happy to see at the club next season - Panzo if we can keep him but can’t see it

After todays showing it’s clear now some of these players will be released in the Summer. MR is embarassed, as we are.

You can lose a FA Cup game but to concede 4 at home to a National League side is horrendous and the way the goals went in too.

I would let Moore, Kelly and Waghorn, Walker go in the summer, Panzo go back.
I’d also let Kane and Dabo go.
Tavares to go out on loan once we recovers otherwise let go.

We already knew we lacked strength in depth before this game but you can see the fringe players can’t cut it. In saying that, we could have scored 10.

I can’t quite understand why MR didn’t bring on our ‘big guns’ at half time rather than wait until 60/65 minutes.

Catching up on highlights. Gyokeres’ chance late on when keeper palms it onto the post - far easier to square it to Allen in more than enough space to make it 4-4. Tunnel vision on his part again.

Haven’t got a transcript but all I can say is I’ve not heard MR speak that strongly whilst he’s managed us - Not happy
Didn't sugarcoat anything. Hope he stays true to his word in curtailing the CCFC careers of a few (and not just those out of contract end of this season.)

Robins tone of voice doesn’t really change whether we win or lose - But some of the things he was saying was unlike him, didn’t pull any punches

Strange as it may seem this could of been the thing that finally convinced robins and the coaches that the fringe players and a few others need to go asap.

I've been signed up here for years as I used to live in Cov for a bit and am a Wrexham lad, I just wanted to state what a proper fun cup match it was and fuck you, David O'Day, a proper helmet.

Good luck to Cov for the rest of the season. I moved into Swan Lane, right next to Highfield Road as they were knocking it down, really sad. Would have loved to have gone to games whilst at Uni.

I miss walking home from the Campbell/Phoenix on Friday nights for the heavy metal nights, with a stop off next to Wgitefriars at that takeaway that used to do Indian spiced chicken burgers that would give me the shits for the whole weekend. Strutting down Far Gosford Street, popping to Costcutters for random tinnies, not knowing how much crime used to happen there. Good times.

I went back to Cov last year for one of my best mates wedding and what a lovely place it is now. Was hoping to pop to Brown's for a Kronenberg Blanc but times have changed haha.

Again, all the best to your club and fans but haha at Mr O'Day.

This is not a good sign. Never a good approach from a manager to say such things in public.

He should have just come out and admitted he got the game plan all wrong today.

I think I got just as angry by the MOTD commentator describing a Wrexham player as having "great tekkers". Fuck off, you amateur hipster twat. Speak English. And who is the smug, grating, cocky studio pundit in glasses who didn't know who Jimmy Greaves was?

Didn't want to go today - decided I definitely wasn't going to a few days ago.
Changed my mind a couple of days ago and the only reason was to see how those fringe players (and Waghorn) might perform.
I suppose it was a cheap way of finding out.

Yes, in a game that was up there with our best performances in years against the in form team in the league.

In the last 7, using your example, we have 6 points from 6 league games and an FA Cup defeat. Based on that logic, with 21 games left we are averaging a point a game, would leave us on 56. 56 points doesn’t get relegated.

However if we extend our last 7 games to our last 10 games, we have 15 points. 1.5 pts a game would leave us with 66 pts there or there abouts.

So, to conclude, you can shove your stats bollocks up your arse when you choose a window to fit your narrative.

Fuck Robins tonight, the arrogant little prick needs to take responsibility …. Paid enough, fucked it up and should hold his hand up. Blatantly obvious that if he’d played our best players we would have progressed 😕

Oh well, it's all about opinions isn't it. He has said Gyokeres is carrying a knock, so that explains why he didn't bring him on earlier. I do think we should have brought players on earlier, but I can understand his reluctant to do so given the size of the squad.

I wasn't peed off during the game so much, as I still thought we could win, but watching the goals back again on MOTD, their superiority in the air was very embarrassing. We just could not cope with it at all.

He still cannot accept that he made the changes too late.

'We only started playing on 70 minutes, I don't need to justify myself, we have a small squad and some players have played a lot of minutes'.

That's pissed me off even more.
As someone on here said before kick off, that team should have been good enough to win that match. As MR said, when players-who did need games tbf and everyone rotates-come banging on his door saying they should be selected then play like that, well, they can shut up now, can't they?

Yup. Seems to me we need about 6 players in, once the identified parties are bumped out of the squad.

Can't see it happening though.

Correct, it should have been. If it weren't for the club being so badly depleted a few players there would have played their last for the side. He'll have no choice but to keep putting them on the bench-down to barely 11 players he trusts to start
