For literally one game.

Kane has played 43 mins in the last 5 league games

Burroughs has played 243 mins in the last 5

that settles that then

And to be fair over the course of the season Kane has picked up more appearances and been selected more. It kind of proves he was ahead of Burroughs. It doesnt matter anyways we’ve got rid of him, I didnt rate him he was average at best and we’ve signed a new LWB and RWB so its looking good

As you say it doesn't really matter, but though he may have more appearances but less minutes and less starts.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the new guys can do though 👍🏻

This is crazy and Kane really would be fifth choice when Eccles is fit.

I can't believe that anyone us arguing he is better than Dabo, Eccles or Burroughs.
I am

Dabo is league 1 standard at very best. Not played consistently well since the promotion season but gets away with it because of that. 6 assists and 0 goals for a wing back is not good enough.

Eccles & Burroughs have played about 6 games in that position

Its clear that Kane is 5th choice because his face doesn’t fit.

OK fair enough, although I don't agree.

I thought Kane has actually been pretty decent when he’s played last few games, certainly offered more than Dabo has recently.

But I do think Burroughs looks a better bet. But we’ve got the new boy Cuffy.

A shame I think, plus my lad really likes him so he’ll be a bit sad.

Kane on his way to Charlton apparently, I’d be happy with that suggests to me there’s another defender coming in.

Eccles played RWB, out of position, more than once with Kane available.

Edit sorry missed earlier replies making the same point

Cant comment on the Arsenal lad
Dabo is going to be one of those players that just struggles with injuries/fitness for the rest of his career and ultimately I can see him becoming a bit of a journeyman after he leaves us - Such a shame, as I’ve mentioned countless times before he was completely unplayable in the League 1 season and when he was fit in our first championship season

While overall they are in a mess, I suspect if this happens their cup loss at Man utd will have helped to finance the deal. Be great for us as while he can be effective at times unless he is up againt a slow LB or one who doesn't track back, he is also quite predictable. Really hoping the arsenal lad will give us far more quility and athleticism in the final third.
Dabo is a good lad I am told and needs to get his body then mind right and can still be a decent back up for the rest of the season.

Kane was what we needed when he came in to steady the ship. He's had problems and got worse, we have outgrown him I don't have anything against that.
I think he got caught out defensively too much, and perhaps his work rate was not enough. Robins has bombed out full backs / defenders before when it hasn't been blatantly clear what they've done wrong (Grimmer, Pask, Mason)

Don't think there's much difference between Kane and dabo standard wise,as I think dabo needs a rocket also from adi on the training pitch.with the new signings that should wake the lad up .

I agree, I always find it odd though that we look back on signings as bad ones after we outgrow them it's a sign as a team we are progressing.

Yes with how quickly we progressed from League Two a lot of signings are good at the time but quickly become a victim of our own success

Pask, Westbrooke, Grimmer etc

Grimmer was decent in our L2 season, but his final ball was often poor, and defensively wasn't great. Amazing goal in the Play off final, and seemed a good lad, so will be remembered fondly. Westbrooke started as first choice during our League 1 promotion season, and got a few goals early on, but played himself out of the team. Wasn't strong enough. Pask just seemed half asleep at times, and was clearly a CB but when he played there, he made costly errors.

Grimmer has gone on to do quite well for himself at Wycombe and seems to have found his level. That goal against Stoke won’t be forgotten
