Don’t know anything about him other than his stats I’ve just read which don’t look great. But if he offers something near the opposition box which allows Gyokeres to stop thinking he’s playing Wembley Singles that’ll do me for now.

He sounds pretty uninspiring. We literally have no other fit strikers though other than Vik. Even with Godden back... And dare I say Walker, that still leaves us light. I'd imagine he's a short term body to replace Tavares. Hopefully a six month permanent deal.

He's 28? What does that mean, hardly over the hill is it?

There’s no resale value is what I mean. We usually pick them up young and make something of them. This guy is just another Biamou/Waghorn.

Not excited one bit.

Come on Doug get ya wallet out lad

Reading the PNE forum. He had a great first season after coming over from Ireland. Then has had a load of injuries and lost a yard of pace. Couple of comments reckon he'd still be ok in a footballing side but they're hoofball

Another crock… just what we need lol.

You are going back on something I said about 1 player about 4 years ago and that’s all you’ve got on me. Move on

No, but it's a headline act of cluelessness from yourself

You've been roundly laughed at in this thread as well skippy.

I very much doubt he’s being brought in to replace Tavares ffs.

We have fuck all in the squad. Can’t afford to be picky. I’ll take anyone but it’s so fucking frustrating. We’re just gonna waste the last 4 months we have with Gyokeres and Hamer.

For the adults in the room (not you our convict friend)

We are desperately short of forwards, on Saturday we had a kid that is so not ready for first team football that robins was bringing a full back to play in a more attacking role and leaving him on the bench.

We need bodies in, this fella isn't likely to be seen as a first team player and our box formation means at lot of the time Vik will be a lone striker but we need players even if they are to sit on bench and be thrown on with 20 minutes to go. No clubs is likely to let a proven 15 to 20 goal scorer leave in January without being overpaid for him.

Stop being weird nobs

Our fans are fucking weird. Same cretins on Social Media whinging are the same ones asking for Biamou back.

Singings need to be long term but not too long, young but not too young, experienced but not too old. Exciting and well known but not too expensive. Contracts must be short incase they are shit but also long. And most importantly must be written off before they are even confirmed.

with we signed Messi some floof would come out with "FFS he's even older than Waghorn"

What? Where did I say that?
We’re not going to bring in a signing to replace a player who hardly played for us all season.
It looks like he's being brought in as 2nd or 3rd striker in the short term. Which is a what Tavares has been for weeks/months.

The Preston forum seem to be in fairly unanimous agreement about this guy; past injuries mean he has zero pace, he can't score for toffee, he can't strike a ball cleanly, and he's scared to shoot with power due to weak hamstrings.

Sounds perfect.

But to be fair, what the fuck do fans know? McGoaldrought proves how wrong people can be.

While I am not advocating for a minute to bring Max back he would surely have done a better job than Waghorn did

Correct he would have, he was one of our best players in the first season in the championship in a poor side for the level at the time.

I’ll be giving him up until his second touch to judge like everyone else

All the credentials to be an bang average signing

think McNally will be a good one though, could become a permanent in the summer

played at Oxford so he’ll be used to playing out from the back
