We are crying out for players that can score goals, so finding out our new striker is 'atrocious in front of goal' sounds about right.

Playing the moral high ground by shouting 'give him a chance' is fair enough, but I think looking at his stats and the consistency of what other fans at his previous club have said, I am not expecting anything particularly special. Good luck to him though, hope he does impress.

Unless he plays him as attacking midfielder to try and replace O'Hare until the end of the season.

I can cope with that. As long as he stays fit(!) he's someone above the age of 17 to throw on in a game, but we're not stuck with him if (when?) his previous goal track record comes to fruition.
Exactly, he's a senior player to add to a depleted squad and likely to be off in the summer when we can try and get better if needed

We can't really have him as a loan anyway - it seems Preston have paid his contract off and we are just taking him on for the shop window - its a Freddie Sears type of signing

He gets injured, but that could happen to s player signing a 3 year deal thats not had history. Or signing a player who decides to hire a bad pilot who fly's a bad plane.. u know what i mean..
You seem in the know from previous posts, do you think we will bring in 1 more or do you think thats our business done

Looks like it judging by highlights. Dropping deep.

As opposed to out and out striker
218 games as a centre forward, 18 as a second striker. Bit like asking Godden or Walker to play as an attacking midfielder.

Our lot would rather Fabio who other than having a turn of pace and one admittedly very good strike last has proved ineffective in every appearance he’s made for us

Thats rubbish - this is a replication of the strategy Sisu employed in their early days with Coleman - filling depleted squads with fillers in a forever revolving door

The squad assembled under Coleman, in particular the 09/10 season was decent he was just an inept manager

Its not really though. He's on a 6 month contract to see us through to the end of the season. What do you expect in Jan?

We had loads of loans and 6 month contracts during those years - the squad was poor anyway and we signed loads of players on loanand short term deals

Lets hope its just a January tactic to get us through, its hardly inspiring but the summer will tell us all we need to know about the ownership.
