the ref needs to spend less time in the gym and more time doing some critical analysis of his performances
We didn't play through the midfield though did we? Hamer and the back 3 launched it and the front 3 fed off the scraps. Looking at the stats we attempted 58 long passes that must be a record by some distance.Running around a lot is the least he could do given me made...
22 passes (only Godden made less. This staggeringly low for a central midfielder)
0 key passes
0 tackles
1 interceptions
0 blocks
0 clearances
0 shots

we really weren’t our passing game has vanished
Phone Robins and tell him, he's the one that picks him week in week out.Hamer made 51 passes and Palmer 38.
22 is absolutely abysmal for a central midfielder. You could probably let him off if he was breaking up play instead. But he made 0 tackles.

Robins pulling him off certainly sends out a statement.Well he pulled him off and not Palmer so I think he probably knows
It's okay. They re only every four years.2 wins 4 draws 6 losses since the world cup.

And someone totally just dropped the f-bomb but didn't get cut off!I think Freddie on the CWR phone-in's voice has broken since he last rang up.

Of course it was a yellow card, it's ridiculous to think it wasn't.Even Robins is saying that Wilson-Esbrand probably a booking. That he's took a shot where he is never going to get the the ball first. No complaints from him on that

Hi Oggy I think we played really well today. I didnt go to the game or watch it but I listened to your commentry. Why laugh when I ask if you attend games and not just answer? Are you brummie nick
Sheaf in a boot apparently after his injury, doesn't sound good. Eccles to come into midfield?

But the first shouldn’t have been a yellow and most (good) refs allow a bit of leeway before giving a 2nd yellow. He let plenty of fouls worthy of a yellow go unpunished today.100% was a second yellow offence. Doesn't excuse all the other shite that went on today, but that decision was correct.
He's much better there than RWB IMO.I think he deserves another go there, he was really good in midfield earlier in the season.
Think he was missed today though. Hamer was very good, but we look very light in the centre nowProbably a mercy for Sheaf, he’s been poor most of this season and gives him time to reset.
The first was a booking, it was right in front of me, he was late and took him out on his ankle studs up.But the first shouldn’t have been a yellow and most (good) refs allow a bit of leeway before giving a 2nd yellow. He let plenty of fouls worthy of a yellow go unpunished today.
McNally has looked excellent so far not sure why you are picking him out? When Burnley go up I would 100% hope we offer them the £2m they paid for himTo be honest, I’ll be thankful if we’re not dragged downward, and just totter around mid table. It’s entirely possible, nevertheless; Wigan/Cardiff are a mere 10 points away from us, and we’re not exactly tearing up any trees at the minute.
I just keep looking down that table and hoping we don’t get pulled in, because unless we have another purple patch or a consistent run of form, it’s a distinct reality.
Personally, and I think this may be unpopular, I believe this transfer window could prove disastrous, as we don’t have the grit or the confidence (or the quality of numbers) to drag ourselves out of a potentially tight relegation battle, IF we get caught in it.
Patching up the cracks is a wholly negative and short sighted strategy, and to be honest, there’s nothing but excuses about transfer targets not materialising. The squad is tired, frail and lacking in quality.
Small budget or not, decent players can be acquired in the winter transfer window, not just naive youngsters who are out of their depth in our formation and bench warmers from other Championship teams (McNally excluded).
But then again, we could be just fine.
