Because he's not very good.
That's why he's 3rd choice striker.
(He's been elevated to 3rd choice now Waghorn has been loaned out and Tavares is injured)

Why would anyone want our 3rd choice striker playing when our 1st and 2nd choice strikers are fit and available?

If we’re going to play two up front and your second choice striker is out of form then it’s hardly the worst thing in the world to start him.

Arrived at the CBS…Well the myth about him not smiling is dead in the water…. Wonder if he’s seen the team sheet

Is Walker in-form then ? and please don’t mention last weeks tap in.
No, but we don’t have the luxury of rotating in players who are in-form.

I imagine that Robins has already made his mind up about him, but from a purely personal POV I’d be interested in seeing if Walker still has enough about him to be considered an option for next season.

That swing and miss by godden at the end was so poor. How can MR not see after 60 mins godden is cooked. Such a tired swing and miss. I'm fuming

Walker wasn't the answer imo unless Maguire was injured, I'd have left him on and taken Godden off. They're not really a partnership and I prefer the extra player linking.

Doubt it, we are apparently going to be signing players galore in the summer the most important has to be a suitable partner for Vik get that right we could be a proper good around team.

Robins clearly doesn't rate Walker so we really need a whole new strike force in the summer if Vik goes.
Injuries have taken their toll on Godden, he's too ineffective.

Vik and Godden both looked dead on their feet at the end. Robins, for whatever reason, clearly doesn't trust Walker to do a job.

Vik has looked tired and leggy last three games. I doubt he will get a rest in the international break either? Even if he doesnt't play he will be travelling.

And yet , our talent scouts on here disagree with him like they did with biamou , who has gone on to play for basically nobody since leaving us

There's almost a trend

Walker was vigorously warming up looking ready to come on but Robins just have changed his mind

If 3 years of not playing him and sending him out on loan don't tell you he doesn't rate walker then I'm not sure what will .. if walker doesn't play Saturday despite both our strikers looking absolutely fucked then it's curtains

Walker seemed to warm up hard after vik took a knock

Yep it's blatantly obvious.

I do feel a bit sorry for Walker, but the fact he can score and still not get a look in says it all really doesn't it.

Godden was hopeless on Saturday and last night, the big difference with him is pace he used to play on the last man now he has lost a yard he has to start off offside to have any chance.

It was the same against Hull.
He must have warmed up on the side on his own for about 25 minutes straight, but then went back to the bench last 5 and didn't appear again

I think Godden will be kept on next year along with (hopefully) Gyokeres.
Shame it's not worked out with Walker, I think there's a good player there with a run of games

I don't think there's much chance of him being offered a new contract or him wanting one, I think Rose will be another to be released, he didn't even make the squad

His record at pompey last year , another manager that was wrong , who also gave him 4 minutes the match after he scored Screenshot_20230315_093426_Chrome.jpg

People have to start realising there's something wrong with the player

He’s trusted him 14 times this season
