Been attempting a few light hearted, short episode type series to watch with the partner recently:
Extraordinary (Apple TV) - really enjoyed it. A few missed jokes, but overall got enough solid chuckles from me and the characters (well three of the four main ones) are pretty engaging too. Quite dry humour at times and good comedic exchanges too.
The Afterparty (Apple TV) - only 4 episodes in, but enjoying it so far. Murder mystery premise so it maintains a “serious” overarching piece (i.e. who did it) but some good comedic dialogue at times, albeit Americanised comedy esque. Can tell it’s by the same people as 21 Jump Street - but I don’t mind that comedy.
Starstruck (iPlayer) - watched about 10 minutes and had to turn off as my partner found the female lead too annoying. I got it tbf.
Ghosts (iPlayer) - latest season (not so new now) but good harmless fun. Not stacked with laughs but certainly enough and an interesting premise regardless.
I also watched:
Ladhood (iPlayer) - really enjoyed it. Certain type of humour, some of which is very dry and very British, but all good.
None of the above are particularly quote worthy, Office/Partridge/Peep Show levels, but all worth a watch if looking for something light heartened alongside whatever more “serious” show you are watching.

Season 1 was great, but after that it was awful. A lot of time I'll never get back.
Ladhood is brilliant, would highly recommend as well.
"Mo" is a great comedy drama on Netflix.
Just finished a Polish drama called "Hold Tight" on Netflix, that wasn't bad.
Probably been mentioned, but the Lincoln Lawyer based on Michael Connelly's book is excellent.
If anyone watches Anime, I enjoyed "Kotaro Lives Alone" on Netflix.

Next Tuesday at 8pm on yesterday The Architecture The Railways Built is about Coventry Station. It's years since I've been to Coventry Station & when I first started watching CCFC in the 70s I used to get the train from Rugby. Looks like the station has had some undergone some major redevelopment so it will be interesting to see how it's changed.

As an infrequent visitor ( except to any home of the sky blues) it always seemed difficult to find the entrance in a car when I first got an interview to work in Coventry I was put up in the Falcon ? Hotel just behind the station - never got further than the station to have a look around at that time - when they developed the roundabout a few years ago was impossible to follow the signs

I've really enjoyed Shrinking on Apple TV, bit of a slow burn but well worth sticking with. Fingers crossed for a season 2
Dear Edward is decent as well but not really sure how long they can keep that going. Kind of feels like there's not really much more story in it after 10 episodes

Just watched that 3 part WACO documentary on Netflix. Worth a watch Id say. I thought I remembered it well but didn’t think the siege went on as long as it did.
It was a right royal fuck up from start to finish.
Really interesting/scary to hear survivors talking and how the negotiations were ‘managed’.
Apparently there’s also a good doc on bbc about it. I’ll have a look.
