The budget seems that bad that the usual suspects aren't spamming my socials telling me how great it is

Its saving grace seems to be that Kwasi crashed the economy before hand. Still low growth predicted, still predicted to be lower than Russia’s for comparison, living standards still falling and the economy still dependent on immigration.

Good article on the reality here

Similar, my daughter has been struggling with childcare for my 2 year old grandson, he will be in nursery school by the time this really kicks in in 2025, I know some people are saying it isn't easy to switch these things on, but there is already a system in place, so just up the hours/money, it's not like it's difficult at a moments notice to take away someone's universal credit or PIP

Good news that it looks like a deal might be done for nurses and paramedics. Hopefully a sensible solution can be found for other public sector workers. Looks like there might be a bit more wriggle room available at least

Suggestion on BBC teachers union asking for a similar arrangement

OFSTED was already not fit for purpose, to reduce someone to this is shameful.
Ofsted via a single inspector on one day has given my daughter's nursery a grade 4, which the local council have now used to justify withdrawing the 30 hours free entitlement from the nursery, putting its entire existence at risk. I'm not sure how this actually improves standards in education.

There is nothing they do that improves standards at all. I think you’d struggle to find a single tangible benefit that has created as a result of their work.

Has anyone been following the ongoing saga of the Forde report into racism in the Labour Party and like to give us a quick summary.

Forde has been complaining that since writing the report he has had no contact from Labour and no changes appear to have been made. From what I remember the report was leaked and the only action taken was against those that leaked it with a 'wait until the official publication' line being taken and a promise of further action at that point but did anything ever happen?

Maybe Starmer will just dismiss it as its written by a lefty lawyer :ROFLMAO:

My post about it was ignored by all the Starmer stans on here which is telling

Wasn't really looking from a Starmer stans or Corbynite standpoint. More that they got someone in to do a report which say the party ignores some forms of racism and seemingly nothing has happened since. Doesn't matter if you're on the left or a centrist that should be a concern.

Yeah I don't disagree with that 👍🏻
