I guess those cracks are really starting to show though

Sunak must be thinking what have I got to do to catch a break. Settled the markets, stopped the economy from continuing to free fall, got brexit done again, killed the ghost of Boris and still can’t get a bounce in the opinion polls.

They seem to have put all their eggs in the immigration basket but spectacularly misread the room on how the public want them to deal with it.

What chance has he got when he's up against radical eye-catching policies like freezing council tax for a year?

Please provide the evidence

Oh yeah because I'm going to trawl through every fucking statement and interview he's made in the last few weeks.

Your guy had his chance, twice.

It's someone else turn now and he looks like he'll get the job done. Deal with it. Have another crywank over the magic grandpa if it helps.

So what is it that impresses you about Starmer?
What do you think it is that some of us are missing?

Boris Johnson got the job done and would also have buried Starmer in 2019 - so it’s victory over the countries best interests that count

Suffrage and fighting for the franchise has come to this?

I'm genuinely appalled.
So am I. What is very clear from both major parties is that voters like me, a millennial teacher, don't matter. Going for anyone else is pointless unless they have a chance of winning, don't think that'll be the case where I am.

I didn't drop them, they dropped me.

You don't have to be impressed by him. Plenty are and plenty aren't. That's fine.

It's the notion his government would be no better than the current government which is just utterly bonkers.

I didn't say that. I said a Keir Starmer premiership didn't excite me.

So you actually don’t rate him at all?

That doesn't tell us what he has to offer.
This majority of people in this country have had 13 years of austerity and have seen a huge transfer of wealth to a privilged few, a few scraps thrown our way isn't going to cut it.
Radical change is needed, can't see Starmer delivering it.

He just sees a red rosette and that’s it. He won’t look at the manifesto - he’s to be fair typical of most in this country - vacuous and shallow

Fucking hell let's hope one of his policies is extra reading tuition for grown adults.

You really are all over the place - people are asking questions and you are frantically deflecting

Answer questions please

Take what Tony Blair did in his first term and divide it by 100.

It is, I fully agree.

Given the state of the country and the country's finances after those aforementioned 13 years, I don't know how possible it is though, and some of it will have to be more gradual.

Also, the problem with coming out with any radical policies this early is they would (probably wrongly) be torn to shreds by the right wing press. 'how are they going to fund this?' 'Labour are going to raise your taxes!' etc

The bottom line is polls show a comprehensive victory for Labour and whilst you and others would like to see some more progressive policies, while they have that big lead why do anything to upset the apple cart? Just keep doing what you're doing, it's working.

Again you’ve totally avoided the core issue behind his question

Yet again very little evidence. Corbyn isn't "my guy" I've voted Labour all my life unlike you

He even admitted he couldn’t comment on anything before he was old to enough to remember them. Hence he couldn’t comment on Blair as he was too young.

The country does not have "finances" it is not a household. Any government hiding behind that is either Tory or misleading.

I'm not exactly Mr Strategy but trying to move the country on from the idea that anything needs to be "funded" feels like a good long and short term goal
