Do you think our midfield have been present?
I do, but our RWB has not been in the right position, Gyokeres has 2 guys up his arse, nobody else is breaking the lines because we're scared of their pace on the counter attack and so the midfield's passing options are extremely limited and therefore telegraphed.

Oggy and Clive already referring to the Watford keeper as Ben Amos (Wigan keeper) instead of Hamer.

And Assombalonga was fouled by Fadz, though Matthew Upson Sky's co-commentator said there wasn't much there. Fadz had him in a headlock, the Watford player injured himself overstretching to maintain balance and went over on his ankle as well. Think we were lucky there.

This could have been a yellow whereas the yellow he got never was.

Hate saying it but Godden looks lost and out of ideas....his movement used to be good....wtf has happened

In fairness, most of the team look the same. 2 games in 72 hours ? Too much wine with their Easter dinners yesterday ? We come back stronger in the second half but we have to improve dramatically before this result gets too far out of sight.

JWE growing into game a bit now after confidence shot at start

Would like to see some urgency from everyone though. We need 2 goals!

Regardless of the full backs, Godden is non-existent as per, and Eccles not having a great game - we need something more offensive in there if we’ve got no 10 and essentially one up top.

But looking at the bench we’re pretty restricted, best we can do;

Definite;
Walker for Godden

Possible;
Dabo for BNC (I know, I know but what else do we have)
Maguire for Eccles (again I know but we need someone in that 10 role to link play and we’ve seen Howley not excel there)

In fairness, Godden has looked lost for quite a while now. Looks like confidence has gone.

Regardless of wingbacks not being in the right positions (which I agree with), and being very weak in general, our midfield look shy and are frequently sitting in the wrong places, taking themselves out of the game. When they do get the ball, they look scared.

Watford seem to want it a lot more and are pretty settled now. They would rack their goals up quickly if they took it up a gear though.
