Whoever starts Godden or Walker (we know who will) they have to take advantage of the space created by 2 players defending Vik. They have to make the Reading defence think twice about always doubling up.

One thing that seems apparent; we have some players that have a weak mentality. When we have a big game, they hide. If we do get to the playoffs, that worries me.

Sheaf did it against Stoke (sorry I know that will trigger a few), but he was awful. Culpable for much of the onslaught. However, was much better against Blackburn until his injury and was one of the better players. Eccles, Bidwell, Doyle, and BNC have been regular chokers however, and I feel have been poor recently with limited redeeming factors.

Tomorrow it is such an important match. We need 11 players at the top of their game. I don't know about anyone else, but I can't relax. Some of the biggest games in our generational history coming up.

Hope we will be celebrating this time tomorrow. PUSB.
Eccles, from his previous comments is definitely a confidence player but I don't think any of them are chokers. Fatigued maybe.

If I’m celebrating at 2.40 am I’m guessing one of the cokeheads has spiked my Bovril

Exactly.
The clamour for Walker to start, just baffles belief, but apparently he does celebrate well!

Should we really drop a guy who scores 1 in every 2.5 games, and replace him with a guy who scores 1 in every 7 and got bombed out of league 1 Portsmouth ????
Where's the fucking logic???

When will people realise, if we play 2 up front Godden starts. If we play 1 upfront, then another midfielder starts.

Either way, Walker NEVER starts!!!!!!

Hope that helps.
It's bizarre to hold that spell at Portsmouth against him when the blokes confidence was in the gutter. He'd previously proved he was more than capable of scoring at that level so how about just judge him in the here and now? I'm sure he'll move on come the end of the season, which he probably needs but he's looked fairly bright recently which is a credit to him as he could just down tools and good for us as we'll certainly need him in some capacity.

Dots slowly disappearing… going to be busy today so expect huge queues at every turnstile. Flat pre poured beer, Pies selling out and a need to factor in a 10 minute wait for us old bastards to be able to release the contents of our bladders.

Love hearing the day trippers get players names wrong and become quickly frustrated that we haven’t scored within 5 minutes and aren’t playing like Brazil.

Caveat; appreciate it’s good for the coffers and (potentially) atmosphere to have a bigger crowds, I’ll get off my L2 “superfan” high horse

Second caveat; I mean the actual day trippers who have no reason not to have attended previously, other than CBA

It's a weird team but I'm not actually that nervous. Too much for Reading hopefully. 2-0 Godden and Panzo.
