Is everyone who selected load to card receiving a paper ticket? I've seen some say they received one, even though they loaded to card, but I haven't received anything..

No they haven't. I've never seen once the club say "we disagree with this but it has been enforced upon us".

Do you really think Doug King has given Mike Ashley the power to reduce our attendances to zero? Even I don't believe CCFC would be that incompetent

It's nothing to do with Doug King, it will have been the same as long we have been there. ACL / Wasps / Frasers have the safety certificate. It will all have to go through them.

They have said things multiple times that it is down to ACL / Wasps and their safety team that things are being done.

Ultimate control of safety at the Ricoh Arena falls under Arena Coventry Limited (ACL) as holders of the safety certificate. Their designated Safety Officer Paul Cook runs the matchday from a safety point of view from the control room, working alongside the CCFC Safety Officer Nicki Pollard and her team of CCFC supervisors and stand managers, and stewards who are employed by CCFC.

The issue only became apparent at the game, which has resulted in Season Ticket holders who brought in those blocks having to move. We were told initially by the SAG (Safety Advisor Group) that we could not sell tickets in the Kop Corner (except for disabled access to the viewing ramp in that area)

Why can you never open the whole of the South Stand?

As well as the segregation required by the SAG, the South Stand concourse capacity is not large enough to safely accommodate the number of seats/people in the South Stand.

Why do CCFC have more blocks of segregation than other clubs?

The level of segregation between home and away fans is a decision made by the Safety Advisory Group, not CCFC.

The West Midlands Police guy said that the police and CCFC were trying their hardest to get as many seats opened as possible....

I can't figure what you're saying. Do you think Frasers can reduce our capacity at games to zero if they wanted? Yes or no?

SAG suggest something and it would then be up to Frasers.

I have just posted actual quotes saying where SAG have said what can and can't be opened. As the safety certificate is with Frasers, they then get to decide. (As ACL / Wasps used to)

Hence: SAG -> Frasers -> Club

So yes, it is out of the club's control if certain blocks were demanded to be closed.

I can't believe you actually think we would sign a licence agreement that would give Mike Ashley the power to bankrupt the club if he felt like it!!

We already know that SAG have no power of enforcement, so they can't "tell" them not to open any parts of the ground.

Just because someone says something, doesn't mean its true

Where have you been for years? Wasps deciding that people can't have corporate on the day... etc

SAG can tell Frasers who can then tell CCFC, hence if those 2 decide things then it is above CCFC's head / decision making.

It really is so simple.

It isn't worth arguing with Nick sometimes, he has no real curiosity to look into anything beyond vague statements. I mean who would trust a word of what that clown Boddy implies about anything.

Here lies the issue, it's pre Boddy. You want to somehow blame him for it.

You literally think Frasers have no say over anything on matchday. I have showed how that's factually wrong.

Thats was because Wasps had gone bust! It wasn't part of the agreement

The Fraser's person isn't even a core member of SAG.

The SAG reports back to the Local Authority. It doesn't make any decisions

The Safety Advisory Group cannot take any decisions on behalf of the Local Authority. The Local Authority’s decision-making power is delegated to the Director of Streetscene and Regulatory Services, Place Directorate who will consider any recommendations made by the group when making their decision

Yes, they then go to Frasers as they are the license holder with their "advice". They make decisions based on this which will then be passed onto CCFC. Frasers are the ones who will decide if they want to risk their license by going against the advice / what they are told by SAG.

Enforcement would be against Frasers, not CCFC.

Hence, it's above CCFC's head and CCFC aren't just handed the keys on matchday as you have made out and can do whatever they want.

Hopefully lessons will be learnt and whatever league we're in next year work needs to be done altering the concourse and South Stand segregation. If we keep up with these crowds it becomes farcical.

All sorted… it was block 25 now I’m block 26 higher up. I just wish I’d stick to my season ticket seats….this will be the time the bloke in front finally passes back the bag of sweets we see him passing around every game.

It’s not though. The club have said it’s an issue with the concourse. Which begs the question of how a stadium got built where the concourses can’t handle the number of fans. And also why the women’s games were allowed to fill the place?

It will be:

Andrew Walster, Director of Streetscene and Regulatory Services, Coventry City Council

(Although not sure how up to date).

Effectively still the council but not the Licensing and Regulatory people.
