It is but for me not like the first Middlesbrough game with all sorts of permutations we can play a bit more relaxed.
Another thing I want to win as much as anyone else but I know next season we will be better, better players and will be a very strong outfit. In a way despite our wretched start, rotten luck with injuries, today is for me a bonus so I’m reasonably relaxed at the moment.
Will we be better next season if we don’t go up?

Gyok will almost certainly be off. There is a good chance Hamer goes as well. Doyle will go back to Man City and McFadzean will be a year older so our back line will be a shambles. The only bit of hope I’m seeing is that Sheaf and Palmer will likely still be with us.

For me, the playoffs are do or die. If we lose I genuinely think we’ll struggle next season.

Fair play all those calm and/or confident. I feel like I’m heading to a job interview or sitting a law exam later. Anxious about the game and also dreading the drive back (I’m usually tucked up in bed by 10:30).

Sure you’re taking the piss but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. All depends on what fees we get and if/how we spend the proceeds

Exactly. It’s a massive rebuild in the summer and I’m not convinced we are in a position to make it a successful one. The 2 names we’ve been linked to are hardly promising

Feel ok at the moment. Saturday I was genuinely excited rather than nervous, might be a bit different later though…shit or bust (not literally busy obviously)

The squad would look very different but if Gyo and Hamer were both to go, they wouldn’t go cheap and we’d hopefully have something resembling a squad as opposed to 2-3 quality players with the rest playing supporting roles.

More good championship players than an handful of best in division ones

Sunderland losing massively reduced the nerves for me yesterday but this morning I’ve seen Sunderland fans saying (now they’re out, of course), that they should do away with the play offs and should be top 3 promoted automatically. So now I want to win tonight even more!
There is an argument I suppose but take away the nerves when involved it’s compulsive viewing, thing to watch out for I read somewhere the prem mentioning their third from bottom muscling into the play-offs like what happened before, don’t want that, if they get that in next thing they will go for two which would be only one auto spot. Back door to a super league.

Luton have no standout players but have an actual squad which has allowed them to last the distance. Our heavy reliance on one or two players to do the business is the riskier strategy I’d argue

By your posts it sounds like you are disappointed we haven’t struggled this season.

Yes we finished 5th success tick
Entry into play off competition - we lose tonight we still succeeded over 46 games

No we’ll still be here without our best players. If you’re going to insist on replying to every post I make please stop posting the same drivel. Stick to choir

Anyone else feeling a bit less nervous about the playoff second leg than for the last few matches (Reading / Brum/ twice against Boro)? For all those games I felt like we were suddenly in pole position and I was scared we might blow it. Now I feel we are slightly the underdogs, meaning we can go up there and give it a go without fear, and if it doesn't happen so be it.

Yeah I expect us to go out today. Not sure I’ll feel that way at 8 but right now kinda zen

You don’t think a play off place will allow us to attract better plays in the summer rebuild and get better quality loans from the PL than if we’d finished 21st? Or that the fan base and feeling around the club is any more galvanised because of it?

Did it for Huddersfield?
